Spending my honeymoon in Rockland at the end of September. Would love to know the closest/best courses to that area.
Heck, some good restaurant suggestions would be great as well.

Not much in the way of courses up that way. You'll pass a couple along Route 1 on your way up (Enman Field in Brunswick, Basket Case Links in Edgecomb), but once you're there, anything is a bit of a hike. Basket Case will be closest at about 30 miles, but after that, it's probably the Augusta area courses like Burnsboro, Quarry Run, Lavallee Links, Porcupine Ridge. All worth the trek if you really want to play.
Not much of a restaurant connoisseur, so I'm not one to make any suggestions, especially since I'm not too familiar with that area. But if you or the missus like lobster rolls, Red's Eats in Wiscasset, right on Rt 1 on your way to Rockland, has a very good reputation. My folks stop there every year on the way to their place up there. Maybe the old man can chime in.

In the Rockland/Camden area, you can hardly swing a boiled lobster without hitting a great restaurant. We've been vacationing in the area for over 10 years and this year (the last week in Sep) we're planning to try 9 places we haven't been to yet. I've found Trip Advisor to have a wealth of info -- lists, links, addresses, and most of all, reviews. If you'd like some personal favorites, shoot me a PM.
Check these as a starting point:

Have fun--- since it's your honeymoon we won't plan on running into you.
