Re: NEFA 2012 Points Series Payouts
Is there any potential tie-breaker worked out for those that are tied for 1st place.
I'd be willing to put the title up for grabs in Pro Masters with Mark Lyons even though we would be playing the Finals in different divisions.

No payout for the Rec division I'm pretty new here and noticed there was a payout in 2011 just wondering if there is for this year?

Is the double dip still in play?

Apparently so.Mike Dussault wrote:Is the double dip still in play?

I still think we should level out the depth of payouts in each division. Why we don't have a set percentage is beyond me.
MPO had 92 players with 22 getting paid. That's 23.9%.
MPM had 26 players, 5 got paid. That's 19.2%.
MPG had 32 players, 6 got paid. 18.8%
MA1 had 105 players, 23 got paid. 21.9%
MM1 had 27 players, 4 got paid. 14.8?
MG1 had 16 players, 5 got paid. 31.3%

Re: NEFA 2012 Points Series Payouts
actually, each division is closer to 60-80% payout based on the number that qualified.

Yes. The numbers get really spread out if you go with the qualified numbers.
MPO - 22 paid out of 27 qualified = 81.4%
MA1 - 23 paid out of 37 qualified = 62.1%

Bubble boy sucks! (yeah yeah, get better, move up, blah blah)
I agree with Jeff here though. Seems to me there should be some uniformity - or maybe there is a formula used and I just need to look for it...

Re: NEFA 2012 Points Series Payouts
Pros put more $$ in so I'm sure that why they pay a higher % of players (and $). Am1 & AM2 are both around the same payout %. The others have much smaller fields, so its much more likely for % to vary by a bigger margin.

Jeff this sounds vaguely familiar... almost like we had this same conversation last year, oh, and the year before. It was actually one of the weighing factors when I decided not to compete in the points series this year. I like NEFA and what it does, but the points series is as much of a head-ache to me as the team challange.
