Air Plastic

Post by Tim Carter »

Latitude is making "Air plastic". Can anyone guess what air plastic is?

Answer: Blizzard without a marketing department to come up with a fancy name.

Westside discs will also be released utilizing this technology.

When can we get them Bean?

Dynamic Discs has the halo and saint as of today...

Anyone know if or when the Villain or Blitz might be available in this new Air plastic?

I've fallen victim to the "It's NEW! I NEED it!" phenomenon with Blizzard, I admit it. And now Lat 64 will be getting more of my money.

The halo is pretty sweet. Flys like a new opto halo. Pretty overstable. Lightest one marshall st had was 157 though.

I just got my 156g Air Saint yesterday and took it out to the field. I actually think its more comfortable the the blizzards. I think with some practice it will be a solid driver for me. Being a noob, I dont throw anything fast than a 10 speed, with the exception of the bliz boss which, somehow, I can get a good flight with. Star bosses are too much disc for me, I just love how comfortably you grip them.

I got a 147 Saint the other day, played a round at Veteran's Park Bridgeport. I was impressed with the disc. I am just looking for something as easy to throw as a Glide, but goes a little farther. The Saint flies straight, has a bit more LSF and I find it easier to throw anhy which really helps me get around those left to rights...and I can throw it farther. I'm thinking of getting a heavier one too.
I like Lat 64 discs, I have a long driver in the Bolt...experimental plastic, which is already beat up after only a couple months...but hard play.
The Opto Air is great, 'cuz a couple of my Blizz Champs are getting broken down on the edges...

I do know that after "air plastic" comes up from "the bottom" (yes, not ALL such plastic floats) it looks like crap - as all the dyes, tannins, microbs, etc. stain the heck out of it. Maybe it's the "air" that the critters get into. Sort of reminds me of Gateway plastic (as seemingly attracting staining agents). We'll have to see if it all scrubs clean or not....
