Is it the same as singles, where you would still stroke them as a team ? Does that individual still re throw ? It came up this past weekend and wasn't sure what to do in terms of stroking them or just not counting the throw and make them have to use their partners no matter what ?

I believe you call it just like in singles. If it's the first offense, they get a warning and a re-throw. If they've already been warned, it comes with a stroke penalty. Then the team still gets to choose the shot they want to play from. Odds are if the shot comes with a penalty, whether it's a stance violation, a missed mando, or an OB, they'll choose the other one anyway, but they do get the choice.

So then if player A keeps foot faulting say once every couple holes there would be no stroke(s) added unless they decide to take one of his shots ? I feel like after a while there should some penalty to it.

Right.

When you think about it, if the player can't stop himself from foot faulting, he's not helping his team at all. That in itself is a penalty to the team. No different than if one partner manages to throw OB every time there's OB in play on a hole. The team can discard his throw (and with it the penalty), but then they're forced to rely on the other partner's ability to stay in-bounds and otherwise penalty-free.

Just avoid having a partner who regularly foot faults if you're playing alternate shot doubles where those penalties would count.
