10 Year Anniversary Buzzz ("wasp" tooled)

Post by Matt Aubin »

"Discraft will be celebrating ten years of Buzzz throughout 2013 with cool stuff, contests and giveaways, but this baby will be the shining star! It features the original Wasp tooling, original Buzzz plastic mix, original colors, and a throwback bar stamp. It is super sweet! Only 10,000 will be produced.

Discraft Ten Year Anniversary Edition Buzzz will be available in extremely limited quantities at The Memorial Championship, Feb 27-Mar 2, Scottsdale AZ. Look for it at retailers soon!"

10K is a pretty good size run of them. I wonder how many of those 10K will be gone after the memorial and to ebay for inflated prices.

I'm still throwing 2nd first runs, would love a few backups.

do you think having WASP tooling means they're from the same mold? or are they just pandering to the collect-ability crowd?

10k is nothing, especially with hoarders scooping these up by the dozens. If you want any, better start saving.

Considering the 'wasp' tooling is etched like the Ti stuff and nothing like the original raised letters, I'd wager no.

the tooling is just for "presentation" ... the real meat on the bone of this re-release is the plastic ... supposed to be the same blend of Z originally used for the buzzz ...

as others have said, if they mold out flat and just on the over-stable side of stable, they'll be choice ... and if they have the same extended break-in period? then they will be highly desirable ...

i wish i had a concept for what "10,000" is in terms of quantity
it sounds like plenty for everyone to get what they want from retailers and not get ripped off on ebay

i guess we'll find out in a week

also, assuming many retailers are going to sell their initial shipment quickly- how many, if any, more shipments will they get?
ten thousand just sounds like a lot
but they say it like its nothing...

I heard there were 10k star stamp rc3s.

Apparently 10k is the scientifically established ultimate number to make a hysterical release and maximize profit.

How can they possibly be the same plastic blend as bs buzzzes? That just sounds impossible.

Not buying it. But still buying them. ;)

"...original Buzzz plastic mix..."

Note 1: If you take this at face value and assume that it will be the same as the bar stamp Buzzzs you may be wrong.
Note 2: I do not know which "original Buzzz plastic mix" (or even if they really speak the truth or is it just hype) they will actually use.

And I'm saying notes 1 and 2 above because I believe (could be wrong but I doubt it) that the ORIGINAL Buzzz was a limited edition "Holiday Buzzz" (I have / am looking at it right now) with the year 2003 actually printed on it along with little holly leafs as part of the graphics and the plastic is quite a bit more opaque than my bar stamp Buzzzs.

These are showing up on ebay. Plastic doesn't look like the pearly stuff, looks like opaque z plastic.

Thank you for paying attention robert. A lot of the pre-orders are sold out.....sold out of something they don't even have yet, it's pretty funny.

I'll prob buy a couple when they come up for regular sale.

The colors I've seen are amazingly true to all the colors I've seen in early buzzz runs.

Tried to wait for those but couldn't do it. Got 20 percent off from discgolf center tho. There are are still a bunch of places online that have them in stock.
