I met with Brian at the course location last week. Its going to be a nice course with quite a few elevation shots. A few things still need final approval.
I'm sure when things are green flagged Brian will let us know when the work days are.

There's a meeting on 1/13/14 to discuss the future development in town including the installation of a disc golf course. I'm going to attend the meeting and I'll keep you up to date.
If anyone would like to take a winter's walk through the area, shoot me an e-mail. The planned lay out has all the makings of a fine course for players of all levels.

Hi Jay,
No real changes. Virtually each hole will have the possibility of multiple tees and/or basket locations. When the final approval is done and things roll, getting some heavy equipment back there will really be a big help. I'll post something after the meeting this Monday. I really hope things start moving again soon!
Ka-ching,
Brian D.

Hi all,
I gave an update before the Parks and Rec committee in town and with the help from the chairman on that commission, I was able to meet with the town planner. She gave me a large map of the lot so I could overlay my plans onto it. I'm going out to do measurements then map it as soon as I am done typing this update.
I would have liked to get on the February P&Z agenda but I may have to wait until March. There maybe some resistance to this due to "traffic" but it appears I have the support of many in the town. If you know any East Windsor residents, please clue them into this and get them on board. If you're an EW resident, let me know. If you're not an EW resident, you can still be a member of yet to be formed EW Disc Golf Club thru our Parks & Rec Commission. I wanted to wait until we got P&Z approval before we formalized the club.
Here's a link to coverage of the meeting that is on the Reminder's web site. The handsome guy in the middle be me.

I was an east Windsor resident. My parents still are and live 30 seconds from the future course. Anything you need let me know. I think you have my number and email.

sounds pretty sweet - count me in as a future DGC member. I'm in Granville MA but this could prove to be the closest course to me other than HCC in Holyoke. I can be available for work days too. Please keep me posted. PM, email or call me at 774-200-0595.

Hi Jay,
Things are a little slow over the summer months. I did show the Parks Commission people an alternate layout at the EW Reservoir. It would be nine holes. While it would be beginner friendly, it would still measure well over 3000 feet. There would be some lightly wooded areas and change in elevation.
There is a meeting coming up on 9/8/14.
Brian
