Post by Dave Jackson »

The best bag on the market as well as one of the most expensive. Craftsmanship beyond anything else on the market.

Made in the USA too 8-)

and the owner of the company, Dana, is a very cool dude with a fantastic force of employees behind him.

Ok.
I am a tough customer when it comes to gear.
I like good stuff and have no problem paying a premium price for a premium product.

Today was my first day playing with the Golf Mahal as my bag.
Played silver to blue at Warwick followed by some Campgaw bombolas.

I felt less fatigued than ever coming in on my 32-36 holes. Was it the bag?

It sure was welded to my back in the perfect position and has huge cushy straps.

This time, we (Steve, Tom and I ) knocked it outta da pahk!!!

Come n get one, let me fit ya properly and see for yourself what it is I'm talking about. 8-)

It's the new and improved version.

Tim Carter was able to tell me differences in the prior edition which he has been using vs. the new Maple Hill Edition version he just recently purchased.

I know the putter pocket is better than the old one.

Mystery Ranch has continued to tweak and improve these bags since they were introduced 3-4 years ago. It's a lot of little things that help make the best bag ever even better.

The best improvement is the putter pocket. You can fit 2 or 3 putters in the new one, while 2 wizards could not be jammed into the other. This was probably the biggest shortcoming in the older models. Nice fix.

There is a new organizer panel stitched into the back section on the bag for easy access to minis, pencils, lighters, etc. I started seeing this a few versions ago, so some older bags already have this feature. Handy but not earth shattering.

Another improvement is a removable waist belt. Because nobody uses it anyway.

There are at least a few other changes in the details, and probably more I haven't fully appreciated yet.

What I do appreciate is a backpack made in America by a premier backpack making company, with a custom, and customizable, fit. The bags are waterproof, flexible to carry 15 discs with the side pockets sinched tight or up to 35 discs with the expandable side pockets open. Or carry as many beverages and layers of clothing as required. Fits a camelback bladder. Carries your umbrella (closed, or open and hands free) stool, two nalgenes. The list of features goes on and on.

Oh yeah and this one allows you to rep the best course in disc golf while carrying the best bag in disc golf. Get some.

My old one is going in for some repairs (mostly buckles that I carelessly allowed to get crushed in car doors/ underfoot, etc.) and then will probably go up for sale. But you don't want my old one. You want the sicky limited edition goodness hooked up by Worm and Co.

Dont believe the hype? Take advantage of the fact that Maple Hill is the only place in the entire country where you can see, feel, smell and taste these bags in person (they only do online sales generally) before you get one. Then get one. Or two...
