Here are a few pertinent tidbits.

Most of the touring pros were on the course playing practice rounds today, including at least eight world champions, that I can think of, off the top of my head. Some pics on maple hill Facebook and on twitter, search #vibramopen. Got to hear several first impressions of new hole 14. The best players in the world all seen to like it. But that doesn't mean they didn't have trouble with it!

Fun fact: There are more than 50 thousand rated golfers already in the Vibram field, with several others anxiously calling Steve Dodge about the wait list and the five spots tournament, which is tomorrow.

For those that don't know, the five spots tourney is a way to play your way into the vibram, the day before the event, by finishing with one of the five lowest scores. I know at least one player from California is out here just to try to get in tomorrow, among a good crowd looking to chase vibram glory. A few years ago Greg Barsby did the same thing. Other events tomorrow include a team skills competition and, in the afternoon/ evening, a clinic with the pros and a meet and greet I think. Where is Jeff L. w the details?

Maple Hill is leading the way of the disc and folks are fallin in from all over. Come on up and get you some.

Is the final card teeing off at 2:00 on Sunday? My goal is to come from work and walk with the lead group.

So I also heard Moriarty and Lingenfelter were top 5 today... who were the other 3 players? Someone needs to step up and be a hero on the forum, the info doesn't seem to exist anywhere else.

I quickly compared the waitlist that's on the vibramopen page (not updated) against the tee times list on the pdga website for tomorrow. A lot of the guys who still show as waitlisted have tee times, many more than 5. Looks like maybe the last day 5 spots tourney wasn't as "last chance" as I thought...

http://pdgalive.com has live scoring for every player.

So far, only the first women's card is showing through hole 6. I imagine the pace will pick up once more groups are on the course.

Of course it's DG Planet. There's another live broadcast outlet in disc golf?

As far as which card they're following, I think it's the 3pm tee time with Leiviska (the defending champ). Though the 2pm tee time has Doss in the group and he's a former champ as well.

Fixed that for you.

I'm not complaining about the updates, but let's not claim that this is truly live scoring. That's a stretch.

Ya Brinster must be having a hard time because its taken him an hour and a half to finish hole seven, well according to the "live" scoring.

Obviously just making a joke, I appreciate any scoring and the effort to do just this is awesome. Ok now I go refresh again....

p.s. The stuff you said is the norm in my life not a big deal. 8-)

Based on what I can divine from the vibramopen.com site (specifically the volunteer section), they intend to have scoring stations every few holes. It appears those stations are at tee 7 and tee 11/13 today. Whatever the relay system of getting the scores to Lagrassa to post must not be too smooth since scores seem to be delayed so far.

Based on the scores I have seen, I will win the over bet on winner (line at 210). Conditions should be ideal today and no one better than 54 so far. I am sure there will be some scores under 54 during the tournament, but I find it hard to believe someone will average much better than a 3 on every hole over 72 holes at Maple Hill Gold.
