We have been parking in the church parking lot and walking across. we were able to shovel a walkway through the massive snow bank that is blocking the entrance

Nine wet snowy holes sounds like a plan. Mundane it is.

Trent did the church give permission to park, as I guess, during the winter months?

Re: Coggshall Monday League begins 3/10
I talked to the folks who lease the chapel up top and he said it was fine for Monday nights as they have nothing going on.. But we should try to get ahold of Pastor Chuck just to make good relationships with them.. As long as we don't get a bunch more snow the horseshoe should be clear with a few more warm days!!

Re: Coggshall Monday League begins 3/10
haha! I think we'll only have 2014 for this year. I think. It hurts, but I think.
Definitely will try to make this Monday, Trent; there was a death in our town, some folks we know, so don't know about funeral details as of yet. Trying to get to Coggs for sure.

Re: Coggshall Monday League begins 3/10
A quick observation last night AFTER league.....
Several of our cars were parked across the street in the Church's lot; my truck was backed up against the snow bank. When I put my gear in the bed I noticed a beer bottle stuffed into the snow bank, and so I removed it promptly.
I hope this wasn't from any of us. Even if it wasn't, if we see any kind of trash/bottles/cans we should be good neighbors and pick them up.
I REALLY hope this wasn't from any of us. This could, if followed up, seriously go against the league, club and future plans for this course.
People, please play the carry in/carry out part. In the park, use the trash barrels. Outside the park, bring it with you. Watch each other's backs on this. Beers are great during league, but we have to treat this as walking on broken glass.
If the church members saw that bottle they would have no guilt in raising a stink to authorities or whomever they choose.
We have to be smarter than that. Hopefully we already are.
Oh yeah, it was a fun night of disc!

Re: Coggshall Monday League begins 3/10
Thanks for noticing the fine lines Bobkat
Great league. Fun course. Cool people.
Make sure to treat that church parking lot like a sanctuary because the reality is, that it is indeed a sanctuary to it's members. The church, the property and I'm sure the parking lot.
Keeping it spotless speaks volumes about the people the church are letting use their parking lot.
Hell, I could even envision a planting at the church as a token of the local disc golfers appreciation? Flowers, shrub or even a tree. It's a nice gesture and people usually appreciate it.
Thanks to whoever is making this course happen. What a really cool piece of land ya got. I heart big white pines.
Cross the street with caution yo and look both ways.
