So not a "Maine Par" 70? Is Quarry Run going to stay Par 71 at 6,200 fairly open feet? I love me some Maine Par!
Kidding aside I dig it. Maine Disc Golf is awesome but I'm glad to see more non-rec courses. I hope it's a money maker.

actually Thomas, the Quarry Run layout has been redesigned
as well, it just hasn't physically changed yet.
This and more news will be discussed in future blog installments.
Ghost Tree length shall feature ~7800ft
And ~9500 ft. Championship layouts.

FWIW, I think the course pars implemented and now fading at current day were done with a beautiful mind and strategy alike. I've always been a proponent of the whole "don't like the written par, ignore it and play to your own personal challenge point" mentality. This does away with the significance of "pro par" or "course par" and makes it what it should be "your par".
numbers, numbers.
Back on track - I think that the course pars up here are very "family and growth" friendly. In a fledgling sport, I think this is important. Makes the n00bs feel better about their 70. Gives em reason to get more aggressive with the sport and better themselves than if 70 meant 16 over. Numbers.
That said, I think I've witnessed (with woody V as a key player in this game) the "course pars" start declining with the rise in attention and talent in the local market.
numbers and psychology.
Can't wait to play what my good friend Bennadee has created. Dude has vision!
