Strange theft at Marshall Street

Post by Jason Southwick »

On Monday Kyle found three slightly used discs on the picnic table by the DDC court. They all still had stickers on them. He later found a 4th, somewhere else on the course. It also had a sticker on it.

We hadn't sold these discs, so we suspected someone had stolen them.

Sure enough, we reviewed the video from our excellent surveillance system provided by Jasin Bayer, and witnessed a young man and a young woman (20s) signing up for a round on Monday, June 16 at around 1 p.m. After the cashier rings them up and disappears behind the wall, this young couple pulls four brand new discs out of crates under the Tournament Stamp rack and leaves.

They later left the discs on the course.

Anyway, they signed their names Troy Nicolas and Sabrina Prince. Does anyone know them?

We wonder if they'll claim they thought they were borrowing loaners. Frankly, it's hard to believe that anyone could mistake brand new discs with stickers still on them as loaners.
Still, after stealing said discs, why did they leave them here? Then again, if they thought they were loaners, why didn't they return them?

Anyway, if anyone knows Troy Nicolas and/or Sabrina Prince, let them know that we have them on tape taking brand new discs from our store without paying for them, and that soon the cops will be seeing the video, too.

I have been to courses that have crates for loaners, and I have seen people not put them back as well

not trying to justify their actions, just not might be thieves maybe just lazy morons

I bet they even uttered the words these suck just leave them

a few more of these type of videos you could compile and awesome Pyramids Disc Golfer Morons gone wild DVD

why can't the eye n sky capture some cool nude shots ever..or has it?

Sorry to hear about this Jason. A few quick google searches indicate that there happen to be a couple of students at Bay Path High School with these names. Troy apparently was/is on the baseball team and Sabrina made the honor roll. Of course innocent until proven guilty, but thought I would share this minimal detective work. Good luck resolving this.

If they need a community service venue, Buffumville Disc Golf Course is looking for poison ivy pullers...

Sorry to hear this Jason,
Marshall st attracts some real winners, hope they get busted,I agree with Tim, community service on a course is an appropriate punishment, or in a more draconian society, they would be put in a stockade and have TI buzzes thrown at them.

I had a box of 20 loaners at otter brook for newbies to use, they said "otter Brook loaners please return to crate", these discs were 20 years old and had nail holes in the center where the original owner had pounded them onto his wall, a year later, they are all gone, most people are good, some just suck, life goes on.
I'd be a lot better if those trees didn't get in the way.

I found both him and her on Twitter. I sent him a message to contact Jason ASAP ... or else ... and he kinda freaked out - asked for contact info and promised to do so immediately.

Nice post Franch. Internet sleuths seem to have uncovered the fact that these kids may be minors. My guess based on watching the video and hearing the evidence is that there was no intent to wrong Marshall Street. Just ignorant kids being absorbed in their own world (and little hand held computers).

The boy came in with his mom and paid up. Seemed like a nice kid.
