Shawn,

Got a Ch. Tern from Cutler when they first first came out; traded it for an inked, used OLD Q-Sentinel. And I don't think I got the worse of the deal! Mr. Terny kicked out Katana from my bag. It's (the Tern) my longest bh no-wind, down-wind disc. I'm have 3 of them (use them depending on the shot I might encounter on that course) - but just like most discs, even the SAME disc can be slightly different in stability. My 171 blue is a turn-over / almost bh roller, my 171 red is a perfect tight S-curve, and my 168 chartreuse is right in between the other two.

Have thrown the Star Tern and seems to be more under stable than the Ch. (but again there will always be variances among similar discs). G-Star also appears to be less stable than Ch.

The Star version is actually more understable by the numbers.

Champ Tern 12/6/-2/2
Star Tern 12/6/-3/2

To me, Tern is like a longer Mamba.

Strong arm throwers should use Champ.

Noodle arm throwers should use Star.

Mine is low 170g Star Tern. Nice S-curve flight or long anny shot.

A little bit sensitive to angle release. Similar to Champ. Mamba that I have in my bag.

Yes, Tern is better than Katana and it has smaller rim size. Easier to grip.

Hey Mullen,
I love the Tern. I throw all under stable plastic. You know my game and ability......... I suck and don't have much of an arm. The Tern goes further than my Blizzard boss. I got to the corner gap on 6 at Tolland with a Tern. I finally got to the top of the hill on 18 at Wick this year (first time ever), with the Tern. I have not thrown it in the wind, because I know its under. At least a head wind.... I can "get on" this disc and it will just S out and not flip..... It is a bag changer for me..... I can put it past the "landing strip" on 12 at Wick... I have a star one and a champ one, both high 60's/low 70's on weight. I know you used to throw a lot of FB's and "built you bag around TB's"... This thing may be to flippy for you, but for my sissy arm, its straight $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Star is definitely a touch under compared to the champ, my champ is also a few grams heavier...........

If it's not to understable for you, then you will like it. Things got some serious legs...... In Worms words "it's a BOOMSTICK".....
I can see you using it for long shaped shots or, late flight right hand turns.....

Hope this helps 8-)
