New hole 14 at West Thompson DGC

I have mixed emotions about this change. Hole 14 was one of my favorite holes at the course. But with the constant flooding the hole has eroded to a nub. We are going to let that hill heal a little while.
The new hole is about 325 feet (I will wheel it tomorrow), tight and wooded. It offers a RHBH slight anny with a little fade (maybe a Teebird). For you lefties and flickers there is a nice channel down an old walking path. I took pics of the fairway.
It been a great year at West T and I wouldn't feel right if I didn't thank a few people by name. Mike O'Shaughnessy has been instrumental in getting the heavy work done by bringing his backhoe down for hours at a time. I think he also saved our behinds on picnic table day when he showed up with a fully charged drill. Nicky King and Chris Shrum bought the tables/srews/stain/brushes and ran the whole assembly process. Ray Quinn, who has NEVER missed a work day delivered the wood and helped out assembling them. He also help cut in the fairway on the new hole. As always Kaz,Rotten Robby, Mike McGloin all came through huge for us. Ranger Cathy and her crew solved the swamp issue on Hole 10 by digging a swail across the meadow. Lastly but not least, we really need to thank Gary Cyr for helping us raise the money to put these projects into motion. We are a small course that lacks funds, so gestures like Gary's are the only way we can survive. He asked all of you to help us out with donations, and you all were so generous.
So here are the pics
