Women's Tournament for 2015

Talking with a few ladies in our growing club, its been expressed that we would love to have one, maybe even two, women's only tournaments this year. It is my eventual dream to have a New England Women's Series (NEWS), much like the Poppy Series in CA and the Michigan Womens Series (MWS) in MI. This series would have an event in each NEFA state and could include its own points series with a final culminating event, and well as include NEFA and PDGA sanctioning.

Anyway, gotta start small. I feel it would be a shame to wait until the Women's Global Event 2016 for our next all women's tourney. Would anyone be willing to help me on this - TDing, player packs, etc? I am pretty new to this and would love a few helping hands. I would also like to try to not schedule such events when other annual tournaments are typically run; however, maybe on the same weekend. Am I even making sense anymore?

There are currently 33 women's only events registered worldwide in 2015 (pretty good on an off Women's Global year!) I would really love to see New England/NEFA well represented on this list so any help would be appreciated! If you create it, we will go!!

Austine DGC are good course for the women to play. I've met one young cool woman who plays there almost daily during the summer. I don't remember her name. Sorry!
