I have already played 3 tournaments in am2 thus making it into the finals. I will be playing am1 the rest of the year. How will this work for the finals?

playing 3 makes you eligible to qualify for finals. It doesn't mean you're auto in, you still need to finish in the top X spots. If you do end up qualifying in multiple divisions, you can pick which one you want to play in.

its based on the number of players in each state/division that are members, so its hard to estimate this early. Last year's thread is a good place to base a guess on.

It looks like all results are included in the State report, is that right? Jeff an I need to get invites ready, and that's the report we need.

YES, all of the results are in the regional report, just for that reason.
