Not making the trip to Smuggler's Notch? The 4th Annual Webster Fall Open + Pig Roast happens this year on Saturday, September 19th. Regular registration opens up this Friday at 6pm, but if you're looking to get in ahead of the game, combination tickets (both a tournament spot and a pig roast ticket) are on sale now for $45 ($5 off full price).
Pros compete for cash; amateurs compete for funny money provided by Pure Flight Disc Golf.

It was, then it wasn't, then it was again, now it isn't. Will it be a NEFA event when the day finally rolls around?
I'm currently proceeding as if this won't be a NEFA event.
It seemed pretty clearly stated that there won't be NEFA points events the week prior to the finals, so unless you planned on changing the date I don't see where the uncertainty comes from.

Because it was put on the schedule as a NEFA event, Jimmy, and I've had back and forths with different people telling me different things. If it was clear, we wouldn't be having this discussion. I've really no desire to start that particular [bleep] up in here, as this will not be a NEFA event, unless I hear differently again.

But i'm not here to step on anyone's sour grapes...i'm just here to enjoy the w(h)ine it creates.
No sour grapes, Stache, I only try to run events as NEFA events because some people ask me to, and it's less paperwork for me and more funny money for the players. I just wish that the right hand here would talk more to the left one.
There shouldn't be any ambiguity. The second sentence in the 2015 NEFA Points Series Charter states "The NEFA Points season starts on January 1 and ends on September 13th, ..."

Rick, if I had been shut down when I went to schedule the event, or in the three weeks that it was listed as NEFA-pending on the boards, or when it was changed to NEFA-active on the schedule last week, I wouldn't feel there's any ambiguity. Which is now neither here nor there as this is not a NEFA event, so let's all not stress this.
It's this Saturday! There's a 70 lb. pig coming, twenty-some odd jars of homemade pickles, all the Carolina pig sauces, plenty of sides, and the possibility of a special treat for everyone at lunch. The weather is looking positively gorgeous (80 degrees and sunny!), so go grab yourself a spot.
The pig roast is open to everyone, not just players! I'm expecting to be serving food around 4-4:30pm.
There will be both day-of tournament spots and pig roast tickets available. Registration opens at 8-9:30, we'll do the whole players' meeting thing and I'll get people on the course around 10.
Lunch will be catch-as-catch-can; either bring your own, order food, or use the communal grill we'll have going (either over the pig roaster or the firepit, depending on convenience.) I'm aiming to serve food around 4:30; pigs being what they are, sometimes they take longer, sometimes not. See you out there!
