Rapscallion DGC @ Hyland Orchards

Post by Shaun LaForce »

We're excited to announce that in partnership with Rapscallion Brewery, we are in the process of designing a new 18 hole disc golf course at the brewery, continuing in the tradition started there by one of the sport's local trailblazers, Don Boutin.

We are beyond excited to be a part of this project and look forward to the future of disc golf at Hyland Orchards.

The first 9 holes of the original course are still free until the new course is completed in May/June.

This is fantastic news!

Will the lifetime memberships be carrying over for those that seeded the course?

That is something that has been brought up several times recently.

The baskets that were purchased by the lifetime members are no longer in possession of Hyland Orchards or Rapscallion Brewery.

We are working to come up with the best solution for this and more information will be available soon.

Thanks for your efforts with this Shaun. It shouldn't be your responsibility to deal with the lifetime members of the old course, especially if this new course is in fact entirely "new" (new owners of the brewery, new baskets, new tees, etc). I am a lifetime member of the old course, so my question would be where did the baskets that we paid for go? I am assuming Don Boutin has a pretty good idea... The only tangible representation of the equity that we put in to the course is those baskets, and anything you do for us with respect to the new course going forward is only a token of generosity. YOU, GREEN LIGHT, and the new HYLAND COURSE owe us nothing, at least from my perspective. Good luck and I look forward to checking it out soon!

Thank you Eric. Erin and I also purchased a basket for the original course, and it is unfortunate that they were removed from the property. Don Boutin would know best where the baskets currently are.

We will be working to gather more information on the matter and an announcement will be made soon.
