2 days of registrations and we are about 1/4 full. The snow is finally melting, and tee box work, including the new tee for 16, is soon to commence.

We're over half full and I expect to see a bunch of registrations rolling in this week. Get signed yourself signed up today!

I'm ironing out the details with the food vendor and will have a listing of their offerings within the next day or two.

If you're heading out to the course for practice, there's a few new things for this year. First, the wind took out a key tree on the right side of 12 making the righty backhand S-curve line a much more viable option. Second, there is going to be a new blue tee for hole 16. The new line will be straight behind the short tee about as far back as you can go. It's now a long straight shot out of a short tunnel off the tee. You'll want to make it at least to the dead leaning trunk without fading out too much. So basically 12 will play slightly easier, but 16 will play as a much harder par 4 instead of the must-get birdie 3 it has been in the past. I'll try to get out this week to get some photos of these changes.

Now for all you statistics lovers out there, course master Al Rosa compiled this list of scoring averages for the pro divisions last year. You would think that hole 4 would average lower and hole 9 would average higher, but they were both played at even par.

Hole, Scoring Avg., +/-
1 2.6 -.4
2 2.5 -.5
3 3.2 +.2
4 3.0 0
5 2.4 -.6
6 3.0 0
7 3.6 -.4
8 4.2 +.2
9 5.0 0
10 4.0 0
11 3.2 +.2
12 2.8 -.2
13 3.3 +.3
14 3.7 -.3
15 3.5 +.5
16 3.5 -.5
17 2.6 -.4
18 2.7 -.3

2 1/2 hours of pre-reg left and we have just 15 spots left. From past years I can tell you this is going to be tight, so register now and don't get shut out!

Special thanks to the awesome crew for the Saturday tee box work! I especially like the new view on 16. Here's a peek at the daunting tunnel shot that starts of this par 4:
