Hey Guys,

Bobby and I went up to Epping and did some drag racing, because we are into that queer stuff. Check it out!! I don't have any video of Bobby aka The Assassin. But, we will probably go up one more time before the season is over and we can try to get lined up on the track so we race each other.

It's me drag racing!! http://www.youtube.com/user/doubleknock

This link takes you to my wife's You Tube account. Near the bottom right of the page are 2 videos of me drag raging the GTO.

In both cases my car is the blue one, with the lights on,..in the lane nearest the camera.

The one that is run during daylight shows it.

the Supercharged Mustang missed a gear (you can hear it) and I almost ran him down

It would be interesting to see your GTO up against an STi. When I had mine I put down 13.46 stock. I always wished I could warm the tires up first but it's kinda hard with awd. It would hook up at anything under a 5500 rpm launch anyway. All I did was ice the intercooler and run alcohol in the spray.

next winter I'm building one of these, so look out 8-)

You would be surprised how its all about reaction time and not breaking loose which will cause a bad drag time. My first run I was able to run 13.2 @ 108.32 mph. The second time I had a hard time hooking up and spun a little and I ran 13.7@105mph thats a 1/2 second just by spinning a little at the start. Hopefully get 1 good run in at hit high 12's.

Andy,

There are tons of STi's at Epping. I'm just getting used to my car, and really trying to get a good stick on the launch. It takes some practice!!There is another 3-5 tenths in my car in it stock condition. Especially, if I run alcohol.

With the current setups, Bobby's car vs. my car is a great drag race.

I really hope we can get up there again this year and run together.

That car is sick looking I may trade my vette in for one of those. Time to call the place to see what there going for cuz I know 20k starting price is with nothing..

Bob,

Those GTM's are friggin awesome. I went up to see the place and sit in it and feel it up a bit. Phenomenal. I got a nice tour of the facility too, and it's top notch and very high tech. As far as pricing, for a cheap setup that will still blow anything away, you can get away with around 30k. A moderate setup with very nice paint and performance wheels will be more like 40k. People have spent 60k on them dropping a 600+HP tuned LS7 Vette motor in it that's gonna smoke the tires at 70mph on the highway. Completely ridiculous. Their SEMA car is going to have a paddle shift sequential gearbox and all carbon interior with the LS7. There's a Vette salvage company that will package all the donor parts up for you, labeled and with your choice of motor, used, new or HP crate.

I was actually there for an interview, but my fiance just got a new job so decided not to move since its near cape cod. Too bad, no discount for me...

Thats crazy.. If you buy the kit is the tube frame already assembled or do you need to weld it yourself? Next spring I may have to take a ride there and check it out. Sounds like a good time walking around and looking at the GTM's :D

Kit cars are always cool. From what I've seen in showrooms and car shows, most of the tubing comes welded. You just have to add everything else.

I just saw Mike Rayburn (guitar/comedy) at a conference in FL. Part of his act combines songs/artists and is pretty funny. Great guitarist!!!

So I did a search for "funniest video ever" and this is what came back. I don't know what it is about this slapstick event that makes it funnier than the rest, but I think it might be the subtle music that ties it all together for me.

I met your challenge DMack. too predictable, not enough payoff (at least some skate videos have bones sticking out or something after they wreck), overall weak. what do i win? ;) :D
