For the Buff course. The records were kept for the two distinct courses. Those would be A and B. Only recently did Dave Stidham put all the baskets back into the A spot. For the last 2 years there have been some difficulties keeping the course all on the same layout, due to some poles holes being clogged with dirt.
To say the 41 is the official record is probably not a good thing, because a 41 could be duplicated on another non complete A or B layout. I think it makes sense to say that 41 is a smoking hot round, but only rounds on official courses should be considered official records. Otherwise we could put all the holes into the short position and break or tie that 41.
Jerel and I shot a 69 for all 27, but I know the course was not all set to the correct basket placement. So I'm happy to know it was a great round but I don't consider it to be any record. Mikey and I once shot 47 for holes #12-#2. Again probably some type of record, but it is unfair to say so since I know that baskets #17, #22 and #26 all didn’t move for quite some time.

Good point Gary. Kisco has the same thing with a few holes occasionally changing positions from par 3 to 4's or vice versa. The other * is whether or not the round happened during a tourney or witnessed by someone rather than a casual round. Is there some sort of criteria or does it depend on the course/course pro? To my knowledge the course record at Kisco is a 58 on the 21 holes all in long position (3 par 4's) or 8 under.

Joe,
Didn't you just shot 41 with LaForce the week before during Wednesday league?
So you would have course A twice?
The one with Donny was a little while ago when we were having trouble with baskets #9 and #17. I don't remember what course the baskets were mostly in,..do you?

All Joe needs to do is get a good partner and he'll break 41.

UNOFFICIAL is casual or by yourself.
OFFICIAL is during tournament/league/mini/ice bowl/ round.

As Greg said, his 63 is the course record for NC @ 20 holes. I don't think we're going to keep 2A and 2B, so his official 18-hole NC course record stands at 58, for the configuration as of 7/28/07. I have one more major change to NC up my sleeve, but don't know if it will pass during the NCDGA meeting 10/6, so records may stand for more than a year.

Yeah, I should have never taken him to Foxwoods. He won $500 and has been away from the golfing scene ever since. He says he will be back full time in 2008. Poker is a tough living!
He is coming back for Burnsboro Doubles with Rick Burns as his partner. He is coming back so he can be ready to defend his 5 year reign at The Greater Burnsboro Open on 11/24/07. He had better not lost his skills because there are others that have their eye on that great trophy. Now if we can only get Mike Pratt, Doug Russell and Pete Anderson up here it would be like 1998 again. Come on up Joe. Great fun at Burnsboro. Someone grab Dave Redlund or anyone else for a partner and come on up!

We have not tracked the 18-hole 12-2 layout for singles or doubles, nor the 27 hole doubles. If you claim the record for those games, let me know and I will post it.
There is no separate tracking of the A and B courses since both layouts are essentialy alike as far as length and level of difficulty. Of course, as Gary Cyr points out, it is a problem when the hole placements are a mix of A and B.
