NASA vs Tolland

Post by discglfr05 »

Our teams have a neutral challenge coming up in January. The sooner we firm up a date, the better.

Is Allen Smith the captain of Tolland?

We're looking at January 12th (Saturday) for the neutral challenge. W. Thompson, Maple Hill and Buff are the courses being considered. I suggested we wait to make a final decision on the course till we get closer to the date and assess course conditions.

Who's available for January 12th on Team Tolland? Gotta get some idea of rosters so I can let my teammates know how many I need. Forecast looks pretty good thus far. If conditions remain the same from now till the 12th, I recommend Maple Hill for the challenge site.

After enduring the Thorn on NYD I think I'm ready for any conditions.

I'm IN.

cool it looks like we will have 9, anyone know how to get ahold of Mark Lyons? I used to have his number but now it changed apparently.

I'm up for Maple Hill if everyone else is, the only thing is that we already played there once for a Team Challenge.

But whatever, I just throw the circle at the metal thing.

Anyone know what the current conditions are at West Thompson (tee pads?)

Allen or anyone from Team Tolland,
Can you list your available roster here?...thanks

Can't speak for recently at WT but about 2 wks ago the tee pads were rough at best.

Where ever we play we should get a good start in the morning with a no later start time of 9:30. Pats will be playing at 8:30. rough tee pads are a lot better than deep snow. Maple Hill in the winter, ughh.

Whichever course has the best playable conditions, that's what we'll go with.

At least you get your disc back after merely ice skating instead of taking the Nestea plunge!

Roster in no particular order (except Alphabetical)

Pat Barnett
Zak Brown
Steve Guiliotis
Jeff Laterreur
Dan Mack
Dave Mourad
Shawn Mullen
Shane Peters
Allen Smith

clear tee pads is a must, I forgot about that issue. I won't have time to get to West Thompson this week. So maybe we should just go the safe bet and go for Maple Hill (if we know it is cleared).

So a couple of Team Tolland members including myself, went to Leicester today, the tee pads at Maple Hill had not been touched as of about 10:30 AM.

Jason said that Steve was going to shovel them today however. Pyramids teepads were clear though.

Shawn Mullen said he went to Thompson last week and couldn't even find some teepads because of the snow.

It may thaw this week and I talked to a lot of people on our team who were excited at the prospect of playing West Thompson.

That being said, we should probably wait on weather to decide where to play. Pyramids was pretty covered with snow and exhausting to play in, so I am sure Maple Hill will be a really trek if we don't see some thawing in the next week.

I'd much rather play Maple Hill than West Thompson. Also, why aren't we considering Pyramids?? It would certainly be an easier trek than MH or WT and Pyramids would be best location for lunch/tailgating.

Went to west t yesterday. I would rather play one of the mst. courses. The tees were pretty iced over in most spots.

JD: We're considering any centrally located course with ideal conditions. We'll firm it up this week.

Should be snow melt this week. 8-10 inches in spots, Tee pads were clear and in excellent condition. Four teams played challenges on Sunday at Pyramids. We played the silver course twice, as the golds looked much less playable.
