NASA vs Borderland
Figured I'd create an official thread for our upcoming February challenge at Borderland. Feb's a tight month as far as scheduling goes...lots of folks planning vacations, lots of ice bowls and of course, SB weekend.
Thus far, the best availability for my team is Feb 2nd
Feb 16th is the Buff Ice Bowl

It's been excluded in discussions to date, but I'd even consider Superbowl Sunday, the 3rd. I think it's a 4:15 game, right? Plenty of time if we start early, but I guess it depends on drive time to whereever you'll want to be. Could be a fun day!!
NASA has lots of conflicts with weekends of 9/10 and 23/24. I won't be at Buff Ice Bowl (and could play on the 17th), but understand if folks don't want to play the same weekend.
Is March 1/2 off the table? Feb is a short month and March has 5 weekends. It would be nice to allow a "Feb" match the first weekend in March.

Why not February 3rd?
It won't conflict with John's Ice Bowl and it seems as if most of our challenges have been on Sunday's. I had originally thought you guys were talking about the February school vacation week which would have sucked for me ... I'm lobbying for the 3rd, I know it's Super Bowl Sunday but if we get started early, we'll be done in plenty of time

I am appalled at how this has gone down. Dates were suggested and then a totally different date was put on this discussion page. No communication from the NASA captain, just a change on his part. Get it straight and communicate with the liason from the other team before going public. I don't care when we do it! This just gave us some good bulletin board material for the challenge.
Good luck Matt, hope you find a date that works. Let me know what you guys come up with and I will try to make atleast one round.

Sorry Matt, my bad...it's been difficult to settle on a date for Feb. Nothing is set in concrete yet so there's no need to get worried. As I stated in this post, Feb 2nd is our best availability ...not our only availability....did you catch that Mike?...relax bro

I sent an email out to the team about having it on the 2nd...and the team didn't get back to me.
I then took the coorespondence from NASA with the 17th and 23rd as dates, and sent that out to the team. I want to get a Saturday challenge for members of the team that have a hard time doing Sunday challenges. That being said, here is our avialability for the dates: (still waiting to hear from a few people.)
I have 5 available for the 17th with two additional maybes.
I have 6 available for the 23rd with two additional maybes.

If you guys do superbowl sunday, I assume Ill be running league...? Course will be somewhat congested?

You soft little baby. Want some french cries or a waah burger? I know having a second kid is tough but did you ummm also start wearing diapers? I thought you were some tough guy?
I probably won't even be able to make the challenge, what a shame as I would love to see the new Mikey and his huggies.

Super Bowl Sunday could be the day!!! Borderland has eight players confirmed for that day, and as an added bonus, Rob has graciously agreed to host a post challenge Super Bowl party in his luxurious poker lounge. Full bar, keg o Sierra Nevada, and four TV screens for viewing the Big Game!!! What more could a bunch of spacestronauts require? Lets make this date a reality. You don't need choke artist Dano anyway. Let him stay home changing diapers and cuddling with his blanky on the couch. The rest of you hearty NASA members man up and step up to the challenge! Super challenge on Super Bowl Sunday! Start by 10:00=plenty of time to party it up before the game.
GO PATS!!!
