So far we have Me and Jason, Paul, Kev, Gil, Brian and maybe some Streeter boys.
We are going to meet at 10am and work for a couple hours pulling brush and clearing limbs. The trash is minimal and should be easy to pick up.
Bring a lunch and I will bring the beer. We will get in a round afterwards.
See you there!

It can't sell out yet cause we're saving spots till Feb 24 for the (pampered) players who cashed last year.
Can someone close to West Thompson put together a list of things to do:
Clean up all trash
Rake boxes
Remove dead limbs
Bring friends (Gill)
Bring gloves (not as good as friends)
Who's been there recently? What needs doing?
We also have to make sure to clear the tees -- on all the courses -- right before the tournament on March 1. We'll scramble next week to get that done. We have the technology.

The Streeter's will be there. I have been playing West Tizzle for the last 3 or 4 weeks, and the course is in pretty good shape. I believe the tee boxes are going to need the most attention of all. Between the ice, rain, and run off, there are some pretty lumpy boxes!
Is there anything we can bring to help?

I had my best score ever at West Thompson yesterday, because only 15 holes are playable.
Basket 9 looks like it was shot out of low earth orbit by the navy, it is just laying there busted up, very sad. Baskets 14 and 16 are under ice but on the bright side 17 is a really cool water hole with the water directly behind the basket and really high along the left side.
The worst thing was "the tide is high" by Blonde kept playing in my head like a skipping record

How's the course right now? Heading there for the first time tomorrow, are all 18 holes playable?

water level was normal on saturday. At least what I'm used to seeing. I hope the basket on 9 will be in the ground for saturday, but we can always just use a temp basket. Everything else is playable... It might be good to clear some of the wood that dirfted up on some fairways. Is anyone planning on doing this?
I'll probably head to the course a couple times this week and will see what I can do.

First time Saturday as well.
I found this description of the course, but I don't know if it's old info or correct. Please advise.
Looks like 5, 12 and 16 are the water holes, correct? How far to carry over the pond on hole 5? Is it recommended to bring expendable plastic to this course?
Very psyched..

1 -- 201 Wooded uphill dogleg right, pin on hilltop
2 -- 228 Straight, tight downhill with gnarly rough on both sides.
3 – 253 Tight throw through a window to clearing...leftys can throw huge sky hyzer here.
4 -- 292 Nice downhill throw across creek into wooded green
5 – 430 Open hole over pond with basket next to creek
6 – 356 Open dogleg right to basket protected behind trees
7 – 397 Open downhill throw to a pin between giant deciduous trees.
8 – 236 Short open hole to basket on a hill “fast green”
9 – 650 Gonzo uphill par 4 with the dam and OB rocks lining the entire right-hand side
10 – 290 Open throw to protected basket between woods and giant tree
11 - 250 Gentle turnover (dogleg right) with enough guard trees to make it interesting.
12 - 221 Short “pooch” downhill throw to a pin sitting up on a mound...with lake only a few feet behind it...splash!
13 - 565 Long par 4 hole that is mostly open except for gnarly rough on the left.
14 – 484 Open, uphill crush with basket behind cart.
15 – 505 Long downhill shot with drop-off behind basket.
16 - 419 Oh my, oh my, oh my! The peninsula hole. destined to become a NE legend!
17 - 433 Well guarded 'S' back into corner of field. Drive must negotiate a gate between large trees.
18 - 217 Nice short dogleg right to close with a deuce and bring you back to where you started.
