Almost ace, sweet eagles or birds, nice shots but NOT an ACE

Also the place for aces, near aces, beautiful birdies and enormous eagles.

Example, I finally deuced #13 Wick. From my tee shot I had a disc skip into the chains and out hole 2 wick. These are true stories my friends, oh yeah

Don't think so but the deuce on 13 was a speed round used a driver and putter. 2 is a cheater lefty hole which Lap parked (RHflick) during Sunday doubles to take home the $$$ as you well know. :P :P

Last night at Dubs, one dude tried to pull a "Smolin". I had to call him on it.

Last week while playing with some friends, one of them got a call on his cell phone. "gotta split, the wife needs me." Someone in the group said. "Turning Smolin on us?"  His reply was priceless, but can not be repeated.

We now return to the Smurfs...
(on television screen)
Smurf #1: Hey, did you have a good time last night?
Smurf #2: Smurf-tacular!
Smurf #1: Yeah, I saw you leave with Smurfette.
Smurf #2: Oh man, as soon as we got out of the bar, she started smurfing me.
Smurf #1: Shut the Smurf up!
Smurf #2: Yeah!
Smurf #1: Right in the Smurfing parking lot?
Smurf #2: Smurf-Yeah!
Smurf #1: Oh! That is freaking Smurf!

Easiest hole to do this ever, but chucked my disc on hole 4 yesterday and had it been a foot higher it would have been in. Bounced right off the pole, landed on edge, and rolled down the hill under the log.

Smolined = Munsoned? "King Pin" with Woody Harrelson. Like being up [bleep] creek w/o a paddle, Getting caught in the middle of a thunder and lightning storm with no shelter = Munsoned = Smolined? Does this work?

no... I think the meanings are slightly off...

it's more like I almost parked/aced that hole or made that putt ... BUT ...

or I almost finished that round but I had to go see a man about a horse...

more along those lines

Yeah, Wick. I've aced it before but a long time ago... would have been nice to up the total to 2, even if it was on the same hole.

John Tserpes had a beautiful "smolin" on hole 2 blue to blue at Borderland. Tee off reached the gap right in the middle between the two fairways. Second shot just unleashed down the fairway and ever so slightly to the left of the basket for a tap in 3 from 8 ft away

I'm callin it a Smokin Smolin 8-) (aka Eagle)

Should I change my signature to say "smolin" on hole 1 b2b b-land?

I dont think a near ace or "smolin" remotely compares to what John did to 2 at B-Land B-B.

I think this qualifies as “Smolining a Hole.” A couple of years ago I holed out Hole 17 at Barre Falls on my second shot from about 175 feet away. Unfortunately my drive went OB in the rip rap. That’s right folks - circle 3.

i now know to watch MikeD if I'm ever on his card... throwing 3 and missing, then 3-putting would be a 6, not a 5 8-) ;)

besides, smolin would have gone OB at LEAST once more on the hole ;)
