Softer feel. the soft is less apt to bounce out of the chains. Purely a preferance issue.

I just switched from the soft magnet to the soft banger(X plastic). The regular( D) plastic does not seem like it will last that long. This is a awesome putter if you putt with hyzer. Nice and stable. I also got the new esp version. It sucks for putting but makes a great approach/midrange and is super durable.

Deffinetly a preference issue. Problem with a soft putter is it doesn't give you a clean release (the flight plate flexes and makes the finger spring difficult) and if you hit chains left that thing is shooting right out of the basket. The banger putters are modified challengers, I'd recomend just getting challengers.
