Also the place for aces, near aces, beautiful birdies and enormous eagles.

I vote for Pinnacles.
What is going on in Keene? I have not heard any info about the course since August.

After playing Pinnacle for the first time this fall I'd definitely place it at the top of 2x points event for next year. Excellent course that challenges the playah.
Just another old TullyRockStar livin' the dream...

We would love the opportunity to host the NH 2x event for 2009. This past fall we ran our first tournament, "Pinnacle Fall Foliage FlipFest" with what I feel was a successful tournament. Although there were only 40 participants and play seemed to move along well, we are considering limiting to 72 players in future. We are going to continue to make improvements and adjustments to the course this next year so it will only get better!

NH has four NEFA Points Events:
States (Rindge)
Terrace Pines (Ossipee)
Beauty Hill (Barnstead)
Pinnacle (Newport)

For many years, the Traditional NH 2x event was Rindge. Beauty Hill, as a newcomer, got it two years ago and it helped introduce this new course to many players. Terrace Pines, after years of growth and a traditional NEFA points event, and a solid local attendance, got it last year. In 2009, I select Newport as the 2x event.

Why?
1. It follows the recent pattern of taking turns in NH.
2. It follows in the pattern of introducing a new course and new TDs in alternating years.
3. It got good reviews from many folks.
4. The TDs did a great job, they want to do it, and deserve the recognition and challenge.

I hope and propose that in 2010, we return to Rindge for 2x to follow this pattern. On a final note, as long as New Hampshire is catching up to the number and quality of courses in other states, I hope the 2x Nefa events will attract players to new AND established events. If this does not work (e.g. 2x events at new events do not go well, nor attract players), we should re-visit my "pattern" above.

Sweet, I'm excited that Pinnacle will host the NH 2x event for the 2009 year. As a matter of fact I sent in my signed charter and check to NEFA last week to apply to have the FlipFest as a NEFA points event. Now to offer it as a double is awesome. Gary and I will do our best to represent NH.
Doug, I think you have a great plan for the future of 2x point events in the state(for as long as NEFA continues to offer 2x's)
Thanks
