Devens spared from ice. Open for business.
Thankfully, we just had a few trees and branches down.

Good luck to everyone still picking up the pieces.

Conditions
Thinking about heading to Devens for a round before the King of the Hill and I was wondering how the course shapes up after lots of rain?
I was thinking Thursday. Should I wait and come down next week? I don't mind playing in a little mud. It tends to happen in Maine in the spring.

Jeremy, I played Devens last week after a lot of rain and it looked pretty good. That's one of the benefits of a hilly course - a lot of the water runs off. However it also had a couple of days to dry out. Not so sure how it will be on Thursday seeing as it isn't supposed to stop raining until some time tomorrow.

After we had that monsoon 1-2 weeks ago, I got in a few rounds. You'd expect most of the rain to run off, but there are some flat spots where it stood (Hole 5 fairway near Ace Race, Hole 15 Tee...etc). But that shouldn't keep you away as most of the course was 100% fine.
Overall because it's such a steep hill all around, it's one of the first courses to bounce back after one of these crazy storms.

How are the Tees? Puddles of brown water?

If you are there during school hours, kids and teachers park in the same lot. There is plenty of space. The course is across from the entrance to the parking lot. Walk along the fence to get to the kiosk at tee 1. Keep the fence on your right. It is a skinny path.
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.
