Hate to admit that I didn't think this would actually happen.

I'll try to be available for work party when it comes up.

Well after climbing what feels like mountains of red tape, we are READY TO ROLL. Well, with minor stipulations. No power tools, no work before 3pm weekdays/10am weekends.

Clearing has begun and major progress was made Friday and yesterday.

Holes 1-6 are rough cut and looking good. Just need finer cleaning and passes with the pole saw.

7-9 rough cuts are next.

So far:
17 gashes
5 bruises
2 bees nests found (stepped on), 6 stings

but 9 holes in Bristol PRICELESS

Working on the course (Page duh) the rest of the day and tomorrow.

All holes except hole 7 have been pretty much cleared. I'll be on hole 7 today.

Major clearing should be done this weekend, then just waiting on cages/tee signs to be DONE!

If anyone wants to help or just check it out ring my cell.

We are having a work day on Wednesday, 8/12 at 3pm. Bring GLOVES.

Most of the cutting is done, we just need to drag the piles to where they need to go and pick up the garbage that has been dumped in the area of holes 1 and 9. Should be an easy work day and you can see the course. It's playable as an object course. This will also be the last chance to modify any of the layout.

All the baskets will be ordered Wednesday morning.

Only a few weeks away from a completed course!

People are unbelievably generous, and I am grateful for all the sponsorship offers from the NEFA playerbase, you guys are amazing. There are currently (2) more tee sponsorships available.

I'll be at the park pretty much everyday after 3pm, and this weekend too.

And the obsession begins. In the future, his family and friends will say, "Remember when James disappeared the last half of 2009?" :)

Great idea using Google maps. I think I'll work on that for Devens.

Well it might be wet out there today, but I'll still be there. Aaron there is a chance I can be there for 1:00, I will be picking up some more stakes to mark exact basket locations. All depends on work. I will post here when I am headed out.

I actually won't be there until 3:00 after all. I should be able to stay later now. :) See you then.

this is gonna be a fun course. Great job Lane!

good use of elevation and OB/water. the layout stresses accuracy above power, but there are plenty of chances to let it rip.

my favorite holes are 1 (big downhill L to R, over OB stream if ya dare) and i think it's 8, shorty following the stream.

9 is gonna kill people, long uphill hole.
