So there's an actual "signing"?

Is this a guaranteed contract with an up front signing bonus?

Can we have a requirement that any new "signings" are for people that do work on the course this year? (or at a minimum a Vibram Sponsor)

Mark Verrochi for example has pulled 1,000's of discs out of the ponds and was a member of the original Maple Hill team.

Requirements, such as helping out a course on a work day, to be on a team are dumb.

Why?

Perhaps you've misunderstood - I'm not saying every team in the league needs to have players with some affiliation to their 'home' course - I posted on a "Team Maple Hill" thread to say I feel Maple Hill should hold itself to the standard of rewarding the people that have helped make the course what it is rather then seeking the best free agent available.

There is room for many opinions associated with the league. Mine is that part of the appeal of the Team Challenge is to showcase your course during home matches. I'd prefer to stand with teammates that have helped maintain the course rather then some ringers that have no sweat-equity invested in making the course playable.

If that means I play for a B-pool team then so be it....

I will stand by how ever Shaun decides to fill spots. After all he was the only one that would even stand up to be the captain.

Yes it would be great to have only Maple Hill regulars, but really how many people are regulars up there.

Is there anyone on the team that didn't sponsor a hole?
