Stopped into this place to check out the caves. Completely shock to see a very very short 9 hole course w/practice basket on there property. Anyone know about this place and why theres not a 18 hole course on this amazing landmark.
Stone Bridge Frisbee Challenge Disc Golf
What is Frisbee or Disc Golf you say? It is a fun way to combine the sport of throwing a disc with the concept of golf. (Note: purists don’t use the term “Frisbee” as these new discs are designed specifically for this sport rather than toss and catch games.) It is a rapidly growing sport with a new course being built every 3 days in the USA! All you have to do is throw your disc from a tee box and get it close to the target. Then the trick is to get your disc to hit the chains of the target and drop into the basket (to sink your putt). The Stone Bridge Frisbee Disc Challenge is a 9 hole, par 3 course. We sell two types of Discs, a starter disc and a professional disc, both with the Caveman Logo. Plan on 20-30 min for this activity.

played it, it's actually right down the road from a camp my family visits every summer. the course is pretty much a joke, which is unfortunate because like you said there IS some great land there. There's a very small open space that they STUFFED 9 holes into, I'd say no hole is more than 200' and are all right on top of each other. pay to play and you can buy a "professional golf disc" which is merely printed "made in canada" underneath, I've shown it to a few disc-collector-types in the area (lick, TJ, Phil Kennedy) and no one has any idea who/what company would have made it. I bought it for posterity more than anything, hehe.
it's nice to see exposure of the sport, but it's not worth going out of your way for unless you really feel like doing the stone bridge and caves and then getting in a quick 9 holes with a putter in 10 minutes.

I saw this disc at a friends' house on Saturday......... definitely a "unique" disc.

Dave,
My only "guess" is that it is the same company that makes the Optimizer (the only Canadian disc golf company making discs that I know of). The company must has a web site "www.discgolfstuff.com" (as that is printed on the top of the Optimizer) as is "MADE IN CANADA" (printed on the underside of an Optimizer).

you mean this? http://www.innovadiscs.com/discs/optimizer.html I can just barely make out the url on the image, but that's weird it's supposedly an Innova disc. Good info though Karl, thanks!

Dave and Jeff,
Yeah, that's the puppy! When I found 1 one day SCUBA'ing, I looked at the bottom and saw the big "MADE IN CANADA" and was surprised (that there was a Canadian disc golf company...and that I didn't know about such) - so when you mentioned "Canada" that was the first I thought of.
It looks like that company is defunct now, no?, and maybe Innova bought their disc line?
If there's another company, well....

Canadian Disc Company Re: StoneBridge and Caves..Ny
Yes this is an old thread, just in case Carl hasn't found Daredevil, a Canadian Disc Company. http://www.daredevildiscs.com/index.html I have a Wolverine driver, which is great, and a Frosty, a winter plastic Ultimate lid.
Practice with purpose.
