Whats your favorite course and why?

I would have to say maple hill. Great layout. Challenging. Beautiful.

Maple Hill BLUE

OH yea, the reason; you need every shot in the book to do well and the course makes you better. I think that even though I choked at the Vibram, practicing the blues with the big dogs for a month made a me a better player. Elevation. Views. Water hazards. Community effort to continue improving and challenging.

North Calais, VT

Hole 1, an over a hill drive to a blind landing only to find an OB creek and a 40 rise to the basket. Hole 4 which is more interesting over its 900' than most movies I've seen this year. Hole 18 with a placement shot drive to set up a bomb over a 300' long, 50' deep canyon. Oh yeah, and there are 15 other great holes there too, all up and down the beautiful VT mountains.

The only thing that could make that course better is mandatory blonde female caddies that specialize in massage therapy but, um, that would work just about anywhere. :)

As said above -- whichever one I'm playing.

If I had to pick, probably Marston Mills because it was where I played my first real tourney and won something.

Naturally I'm also a bit partial to HCC. :)

Rindge, because:

1) it fits my game best,
2) it takes the advantage away from the big arms,
3) it's only open once a year, so no one has a home course advantage.

the Grange. There are better courses around but the overall ambiance can't be matched. 2 championship courses, 1 18 hole mini course and an 18 hole tiki course that stays lit up all night. Free pinball and video games, hot tub and swimming pool make this DG experience the bomb diggidy. 8' X 16' oversized tee boxes (some with astroturf), bus station seating at most holes and little tee "buildings" to protect you from the elements all add to the Grange experience. During monthlies and 2 (many) Days in May (memorial day w/e) they have the Cafe set up with all the food you can handle (the rest of the time, JG is the chief BBQ master) and nobody anywhere is as kind and generous with their private property as Mike Trapasso.
Get a leg up on the competition, play for fun!

Rindge- a true equalizer that requires you to throw every shot you have.
West Thompson- My home
Flat Rock- Great course, very challenging; and a good vibe from players and hosts. Best trophies!
Pyramids-Pierre and Jason, who could ask for better company? And I learned to play there.

Obviously Maple is the greatest course around with it's extremely challenging lay out.

However I do love tully the best. I feel it offers everything. Tight technical holes, big bombers, and in between holes where a good arm gets u a deuce. U have hyzer, anhyzer, flick shots...

Goodnow Park wasn't the first course I played, but it was the first tournament I played.

New Year's Day, 1998 I believe.

I'll say it - it was damn unique!

North Calais. This is the only course that consistently makes me realize how crappy of a player I can be.

tough one...tyler state park is pretty amazing, of course the mecca dela is up there, stafford lake novato, ca and FDR are some of my favorites. All courses will make you bring your best game and offer difficult elements throughout the course. I love borderland but picking your home course is to easy!

I would have to say Maple Hill. It just keeps getting better. With three course layouts. Plenty of water, wooded, and open holes. Play the reds for fun with plenty of birdies. Play whites to test your skills. Then on to Blue for a challenge. Loose a disc and your going to get it back at Maple.
If you don't pay or play how can improvements be made.

Hard to single out any one favorite course cuz they all offer something unique and challenging but if I were forced to choose: Borderland! challenging OB, no water, beautiful park setting, reasonably close and multiple layouts...LOVE IT!

Favorite tee pads: Cranbury Park- all the tee pads are the same length/width or close to it.

Favorite course I've only been to once: Heroes..would love to go back there someday

Honorable mention: Pyramids...sooo much fun with all the elevation changes, killer pro shop and just an overall cool place to play.

I have to say that I really enjoyed Pinnacle when I went up there a few weeks ago. It was like playing a stretched out version of Rindge.

However, my favorite course is definately Maple Hill Blue. I always find it to be a humbling experience and it reminds me how much more I can imporove my game. Still trying to get par or better, maybe this weekend at the RWB.

And it's true, lots of discs get returned... :D
