Eating out in Worcester?

Post by Rob Tatro »

Does anyone have anything they highly recommend. We'll be heading there tonight with the kiddo's and are looking for something good, different, fun, nice?

We love just about everything. American, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Tai ... maybe not Moroccan or French so much?

American: gotta be the Boynton on Highland st. One of the best restaurants in Worcester and they have a ton of beers on draft
Italian: Biaggios on Park Ave. Somewhat pricey but they have very good food. The atmosphere is a little dingy though
Italian: Via on Shrewsbury st. Expensive but well worth it, maybe more of a date place though
Mexican: Tortilla sams on Highland street is good, BYOB and there is a liquor store right next door.
Chinese: Nancy Changes on Chandler is by far the best. I am actually going there tonight. It is also somewhat healthy as far as chinese food goes
Pizza: Wonder Bar on Shrewsbury st. This is one of my personal favs in the city and a hidden gem for sure

Hope this helps, let me know if you need directions or any more info

The Boynton across from The Sole Propreitor is also real good.

There are so many choices.

Italian places I love.. IL Forno - is BYOB, La Scala - small, reminds me of the north end setting.., Viva Bene. Jewel Box is dope but very expensive, it doesnt belong in Worcester it should be in a Boston setting..

Don't forget Baba Sushi on Park Ave for some yummy Japanese food. If your kids can't read yet all the better.
The Boyton is also very good for straight up Americana, and I believe they have some desserts from On the Rise Bakery of Tatnuck Square.
Bon Appetit

El Basha (either location) and Baba are also great suggestions. You really cannot go wrong with any of these places
