Think you're wrong. Maple and Bland look out and NASA would have to beat Maple and then us to finish ahead. We control our own fate. Thanks for getting back to my pm to.
PS Maine is down and ready to fall again. Don't wake the sleeping giant that is BUff!

Todd (aka Solbo's Lacky) answered this question on another thread. Two of the A pool teams don't get in and are replaced by the top two B pool teams for the finals. It is looking like Maple Hill and somone else will not be making it. That is of course unless Maple Hill can pull a NASA and beat Maine and come to NASA and beat us. They are not mathematically eliminated is what I am getting at.

Borderland was going to try to recruit a former Buff team member, but we thought... What if we end up in the B pool? Would we be left high and dry. Buff 2X team challenge champs, forever team challenge chumps...

Good luck with the new team. Maybe some of the original will come back if not recruited by other teams.

Grab a quote from who knows who, from who knows how long ago, and just toss it up there to stir some pot from your soapbox like you know it all.

Team Challenge has evolved and grown each year. People have been switching teams since I believe the end of the first year,..but certainly the end of year two.

As Team Challenge changes you either agree with or don't agree with the changes depending on what you were trying to get out of team challenge.

To sit here and persecute people for making a decision to carry on with team challenge with another team because that would fill the need for what they participate in team challenge for is childish, annoying and hypocritical. Each and every one of you would welcome most all of the upper end players on team Buff if they wanted to play on your team.

When I started with team challenge there were no A and B pools. I simply joined a team and played for them in the same division as every other team. This was a format that I think is/was much better. Now it seems like dividing into A and B pools is the only way to make this thing work. OK that's part of growing I guess. If there was A and B pools in the beginning I would never have looked to join a B pool team. I would have wanted to play for an A pool team. That's not because I don't like the guys that would make up the B pool. It's just because I want to play with/against the best players. In the years I've been on the team, I've had nothing to do with roster changes, matchups, scheduling, or format. I just show up and play who I'm told to play, and sit when I'm told to sit. So now by default, I should have to participate in team challenge on a B pool team. That's not what I signed up to play team challenge for.
I have a chance to join an A pool team which will give me the opportunity to fulfill what I want out of team challenge. To read all of this crap about "taking my ball and going home" is really petty and you guys should maybe find something to occupy your obviously TOO MANY hours of free time.

I would like to thank the team that has given me a chance to play on their squad and I hope to be a good contributor but mostly a great teammate.

Sorry to team Buff, but I won't be on your roster this year. I wish you all the best in your matches. Unlike everyone else posting here I don't view my decision to leave as abandoning the team. I'm simply trying to continue playing in team challenge so that I get what I want from it.

Some of you act like we are the first people in team challenge history to change teams. Are we even the first ones to change teams to play for a better one? Mike D if you feel that strongly about it perhaps you should discuss not accepting Timmy or Billy.

ok...actually I read the thread bump and was wondering if it was real that team BUFF was done!....The first post was from your captain and I found it VERY IRONIC! Maybe you guys forgot what you signed up for originally for TEAM BUFF...now you all say well "we want this from TC" seems you all have become consumed by winning..not wins and losses aside its about the TEAM...BS..its now about yourselves...sorry just being honest.....

Here is the thing guys its nothing personal against anyone..and for all us new teams you think its cool seeing a once mainstay in NEFA land...gezz the Fn chants of team BUFF have died...dead gone from events..its kinda SAD actually...I can admit I looked up to you BUFF guys..seemed like an iron machine that was unbreakable..the unity you all displayed was very moving...so don't take it personal...the buff dirty laundry seems to have always been public info...crap even before I was involved with NEFA I heard stories about you characters....so now you disband and expect no shhhiiit from people come on....not reality....

so is this what teams have to look forward to......"just saying"

Gary... wah wah wah

What Titan said. This is a discussion page not a coddle your friends page. Of course we are going to give you a hard time but only because we like you.

You do actually bring up some very important things that the organizers of the league may or may not have thought of when they switched to the A and B pool format. What it will create is a separation rather than a togetherness which is why I personally play the team challenge. I could give two craps whether or not we can go to Cranbury and bury Team Utopia. I have not played a tournament in nearly a year but will unretire for what I consider casual team challenge rounds with my friends while trying to meet some other cool people from different regions. I guess we all have our preferences on what we want to get out of this team challenge. I hope that everyone that beats me this year is flowing with joy.

NASA is not actively recruiting players but if Timmay is available, I think that he would fit in well with Team NASA. Sandy Redd from Borderland too, but he never accepts our offer. :D

Already voiced this opinion when they wanted to go with Increased size of teams and A pool B pool. I’m sure the search master Titan can find my post that said Team challenge finals at Barre was the best year.

As far as that goes, it sounds very hypocritical to me that he argues out of one side of his mouth that Discgolf can be and should be more like big time professional sports. Then when a concept like “Free Agency” is employed, or player want to move to a more competitive team (ala Lebron James) for a shot at the title,..all of a sudden he seems to have an issue with it. Pick a side!
I’ve participated more in this conversation than I wanted to in the first place so I think I will bow out. Since it looks like I will get to play NASA again this year, I’ll see if my new captain wants to allow for the rematch between the two non players Stroika/Cyr.
