Official Crane Hill Thread

Post by Davis Johnson »

Since the title of the other is more than a little outdated, let's start fresh.

Good news for the start of the new year: We've just received a grant of $500 from the Town of Wilbraham, thanks to the efforts of Ken Wagner and family, that will be added to our course fund. Come spring we'll be working on installing rubber tee pads on some of the holes.

Oh, and the course is very playable right now with just a dusting of snow and the occasional slippery tee.

I finally got a chance to play Crane Hill and really enjoyed the course. It didn't feel like a new course at all (except the tee boxes).

Thanks for all your effort Davis, Dan and Ken (and everyone else who had a hand in building this gem).

"Sleigh Rally" Crane Hill

Post by Davis Johnson »

A so called sleigh rally will be taking place at Crane Hill Saturday, and I am informed the field holes will not be playable. Just a heads up to anyone planning a round or two.

I was there a few days ago,.. parking lot is a mud pit, be careful not to get stuck,... some tees are also muddy, but other than that it's playing great

Much appreciation to Ken Wagner and Explorer scouts who took saws to
a big bunch of stumps on the Crane Hill fairways, the weekend before last.
Should now be a lot less tripping and stumbling while negotiating the course.

dust

Post by Dan Hale »

Please travel slowly in and out of the parking area...we have had numerous complaints from neighbors about nuisance dust...

The parking lot will be improved next week sometime....

YO

Do you guys have $$$ for a couple of tee pads - wick and cross farms are ready for six or seven - need someone else to grab two or three.

Well?
