Maple Hill dig out

Post by Don Boutin »

I have the day off tomorrow. The wheather will not be that bad. Who's down for some T box clearing. I know there are two teams planning on playing there soon. They need to be cleaned before people just start packing them down. I have an idea, this sno is so light that a back pack leave blower will clear them in no time. I will borrow one from a friend, it is worth a try.
Then maybe we could clear the pond for some hockey? We would have to ask Tom if that would be ok.
If you don't pay or play how can improvements be made.

8:30 sounds like a good time to start. The leave blower is going to work great. If anyone shows up later just catch up to us with a shovel. The more shovels around a basket the quicker it will go.

Dave Boliver , Shaun Laforce and I cleared all 18. Some look real good others were ok. Hole 3 red was about the only one where there was no pad visable. The sun should do some work on them. If someone did not play on them when it snowed the first time we could have cleaned all of them and had no ice. We left the area around baskets untouched thought it would be better to have fresh snow with no marks. There was some deep snow out there. Got my truck stuck in a drift about 5' high. Looks like I will be playin there tomorrow.

This Thursday is a work day if anyone is available. Three of the 4 bridges will be put in place and made usable for the winter. May need to be adjusted come spring time. I will have the Bobcat there to bring them to their locations. Just need some help positioning them. While we are there, we may as well do some finish clean up on the boxes. And of course, Play a round or two.

Kaz will be there at 9:00. And hopefully the ice is deep enough to hold a man of my dimensions now.

The only reason I would have needed gloves was to dig one of your off line throws out of the drifts. By the way, did you lose that firebird that I found for you later that round? I would hate that the ten minutes I wasted looking for that disc was all for not. Just kidding, I think. :D

Maple Hill ususally starts a little later than most leagues. I know the majority of week day leagues start as soon as the clocks spring a head.
