Vinyl Dip

Post by Rob Walker »

Has anyone tried to vinyl dip the bottom of their bag? Maybe something like
Performix® Plasti-Dip Multipurpose Rubber Coating (12213) might work. It seems like it would stick better than Rhinoliner. It would be flexible and water resistant. I already have holes, so I have to find a solution quickly.
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

Yes,
my buddy did it using the rubber stuff used to dip tool handles in to give them a rubber grip, foget what its called.

It worked really well, he just duct taped the bag around it two inches or so from the bottom so when he was done he peeled it off for a nice clean line.

Tserpes tried it after that, works really well for the bad weather and seems to help with the overall wear and tear on the corners.....

yeah, i did the truck bed liner ($10 for an aerosol can from napa) and it worked ok. only ok. chipping in a few spots. would def consider the rubber coating.

Awesome, thanks. Tserpes just texted me a picture of his bag job. I love buying disc golf supplies at the hardware store.

I bought a spray can of plastic dip at home depot for $6. It was enough for seven coats on the bottom for the bag. I used the bag for the first time yeaterday at Crane Hill and all was fine. I had a dry bottom when I got home. Usually, my bag would have to dry for a while.
