As of 1000 this morning the tee pads are clear of snow and ice. A little more sun today or tomorrow and they will be bare, dry dirt again. Played 10 holes with Guy, 3-4" powdery snow and no problems with footing on the pads.

You ball buster .........Every course has tee pads some better than others however, very few are not covered in snow and ice right now!

Hopefully, we can lure some more people out to Flatrock on Friday AM, as we usually do some minor course maintenance and then play a round or two on Fridays. Come on out and join the fun.

You Team TullyRock guys might wanna consider this. Could be huge for Flatrock if one of you hits. Prime is one of four only places to get the disc I believe.

Played Flatrock for the first time yesterday, it is an awesome Course!!! I wish I had made the trip out there years ago, I can't wait to go back! Sean and Helen are great people, they didn't even throw me off their property when my approach on 14 went right into the barn.....oops, sorry about that....! Winds were a bit high yesterday and I definitely left some shots out there. Will be back real soon.

Awesome review of Flatrock...this whole site is definitely worth checking out!

I'm like the Lebron James of disc golf...except for, you know, that whole being a giant douche thing.

That was a great read. I couldn't have described Flatrock better myself if I tried and I've been playing it for several years. Thanks for the post, Jay. Hope Franchi sees this.

Wow, that was quite the amazing review. Makes me wish I was at Flatrock instead of working. Gotta love the pictures. It is easy to get over-accustomed to a course you play regularly and it is nice to hear how someone seeing it for the first time appreciates it.
Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that disc getting bigger?". Then it hits me.

I played flatrock wednesday with Mike D and Paul Sullivan for the first time ever.
I knew it would be cool, knowing how Franchi is, but it kinda blew me away. The course, the artwork. the stonework and the whole property was just awesome. I really liked the course, tight and tough and the atmosphere was second to none, imho.
Way to go Sean, that course was sooooooo cool. Loved it

Flatrock par is now 59. the order of holes will be changing soon. basically after playing one and walking down the street when you go in at the gate dip left instead of right. There is a tee area marked by 2 blue paint slashes on the new rock wall. you'll see the fairway. what you are doing is playing to old 4's basket from there. next you go to old 5,6,7 then to old 2 and old 3 (the hanger) is the last hole you play before going back up the street. new tee signs and score cards coming soon, our goal is to have this done by the doubles finals in April 2012

Weren't we all thinking, "I wish Flatrock wasn't so damn easy". So (old) hole 4 got harder, but surprisingly, Sean now has it as a par 4. What can possibly go wrong?
