what type (plastic) comets are in the starter packs? that's a good deal.

Actually, the set comes with a Buzz (oops, but still an awesome disc!). They are pro d, but for a beginner, that is a good place to start. Compare to the innova starter pack- 150g aviar, shark, and leopard dx. The discraft starter set is in the 170-172 range for the APX and the XL, and the Buzz is 177g. The set has real distance driver, one of the best mid range discs made, and a kick a$$ putter. I wish I had started with this pack!
