New 9-hole loop

I just stumbled upon a brand new 9-hole loop in Needham/Wellesley.

This is closed to the public at the moment, but will be working sloooooowly on possibly opening this up and expanding...most likely not for another year or so. At this point I have no say whatsoever in what goes on there...I just got my foot in the door yesterday.

It is only 1 week old, and has potential.

Both Needham and Wellesley have some GORGEOUS land, and there is serious potential there if this takes off.

Some good news for those of us between Boston and Worcester!

that would be great!! as much as i like the convenience of burlington, the course is nothing special. i have to drive at least 45 minutes to get to any good courses.

I'm not really at liberty to say, as the course installer was fairly adament about NOT opening this up to the public. I spoke with him at length about it, and do not blame him at all for making that decision. It's not just his decision to make either.

I'll be following this very closely and hopefully around September can maybe coerce him into some expansion.

As a needham resident working towards building a course on the town's land, I'd love to be able to help with development and design or even just pure manpower. If this is unpossible, then I may just be as useless as I feel

Erik, I'll keep you informed of the situation as I find out more. I'm hoping to get out there again in the coming weeks...i'll let you know when.
