Your website mentions that the P1 is just an Aviar. Care to elaborate? Is it different plastic, or just a different name because market research shows that some people like new stuff. What gives?
Have a nice day.
EDIT: I just noticed that the P2 is identical to the Aviar 2,3,0,1 while the P1 is slightly different 2,3,0,0. So my question (What gives?) kinda applies to both P1 and P2. Have a nice day.
sure Jeff!
Next time you're in the shop, pick up a P1 and a DX Aviar P&A and put them on a table, right next to each other.
Discmania and Innova are real tight... that being said, they're not as close as Innova and Millennium
But as far as the P2 goes, now you've got my attention!
I love this putter... I finally came to the conclusion that I just don't really like the bead. It doesn't feel comfortable in my hand... I do however, like the stability that the bead is able to provide a putter.
With that being said, thankfully, it's 2012, and we can get stable results from a putter without the bead... For instance, a P2, Jokeri, Sinus AP and SP, Spike, and to a certain extent Zone... I'm sure I'm missing one or two.
If you asked the right people, they would tell you I was notorious for flip flopping through every putter that was available... I really think I've tried them all... but I finally decided on the P2. I tried a couple, and then bought 7 from DGV (this was last spring, and they were OOP at the time. They were my first purchase outside MSt, and probably the last too

) to practice putting.
The difference between the P1 and P2 is basically a little spacer they put in-between the top and bottom molds of the disc if I'm remembering correctly. so the "shoulder" of the P2 is higher than the P1, which makes the disc act more stable.

Throw discs, and forget about life for awhile...
