What came first - the car or the disc?

Post by Karl Molitoris »

Can you throw a car?
Can you ride a disc?
What's in a name?

Saturday morning early (~6:00am), as I was heading to set up for the FORB dg tournament I was TDing at Rutgers, I got on I-78 westbound.

The first car that I saw drive by me (yeh, I drive slowly) was a Stratus. A "disc" I said to myself. Cool. This will be a good dg day.
The second car that passed me was an xD. Another disc. Wicked cool!
The third car that passed me was an Explorer. Three discs in a row. Too coincidental.
The fourth car that passed me was a Focus. I said "pthew". Things were getting a little TOO freaky there.

And then - after recounting the tale to BOB - I learn that a Focus IS a disc (Discraft Ace Race disc).

And yes, the fifth car that passed me was a vintage mid-60's Impala.

I glad I DON'T know what the 6th car was    ....

Wow, Karl! And my wife told me that I think about disc golf too much. Hmmm, it's good to see that there's others out there...

Jeff, I am impressed. How about the avenger? Sorry, this car/disc thing is quite appealing to me. (I work part time at an antique auto parts store)
