Does anyone else from RI get sad when every other state has the orange tag showing activity and RI still has nothing new.

Banjo,
I don't get too sad. I live in South County, there are plenty of places to throw discs. As far as those with perm. baskets, well yes, we only have the Grit. But now is the time to play it as it typically plays better with less foliage.
How are things going with NK? Zim Nation is working the Gansett side of things and there is an upcoming meeting. He is also looking for letters of support and has received few. Maybe a letter is a good start?
I always thought the prob with RI was the small amount of free space that would be feasible for disc golf, but what do I know?

Someday we'll all proclaim "Finally!" when RI gets some more great courses. I've played Ninigret only once, and it's over an hour away. I'm beyond grateful for West Thompson Lake and Buffumville, let me tell you. They're much closer than Ninigret for northern Rhode Islanders.
Real sorry shame about North Smithfield High School.

This is what i have as a rough draft of the course in Ryan Park in North Kingstown. The front 9 is geared for new players, and then the back 9 is where the seasoned players can show off. Longest hole if 538 ft, this will probably not make the final cut when the course gets made. But this is what i will be sending in with my course proposal in late May.
Any suggestions or comments?

Yes I get sad knowing that Rhode Island + Hawaii have the least amount of Disc Golf Courses listed in the PDGA Directory.
Hawaii is Heaven has 4 courses
Rhode Island has 1-That makes Rhode Island the worst state hypothetically to live in if your a Disc Golfer.
