NEFA has the top amateur in the world!

Post by Bill Dunne »

It's been a wonderful ride!! From his first Am2 tourney at age 14 to 1000 rated and top amateur at age 18! (1009 rating)

Yes, I'm bragging, but I'm proud of you, Billy! Congratulations!!

He also holds the distinction of being the oldest 18 year old in all of NEFA/PDGA.

What the heck does that mean?

I still remember the first day I met Billy as a random dubs partner at Buff. It was very obvious that this scrawny 14 y/o was going to be 1000 rated. If anything, I am surprised that it took 4 years. What happened Billy? Just kidding. Nice work kid!

It means that he is very adult for his age Matt. Not everything I say is meant to be negative. Sheesh

Congratulations Billy! Looking at your ratings detail is very impressive - so many great last round scores. It is fun to watch you do so well.

Nice.

Billy, What sports are you playing in college that you are saving your amature status for? Playing pro might be a nice part time job for a young stud golfer such as yourself. Maybe its time to see if can start collecting some cash for your efforts.

Maybe he's staying Am because he wants the 2011 Am World Title.

Walker - I must apologize for Jeff W... he can't help himself sometimes.

You're right! One of the big reasons Billy is staying am IS to try and win an Am Worlds Title!
