Car companies WISHED they could come up with a front bumper as good as that guy's!
The dude doesn't seem to be any worse for the wear, it's semi-retractable, re-usable, and doubles (triples!!) as an algae muncher and sniffer!
Nature beats us ALL to crap
. We just have to open our eyes and learn!

Ps: Sort of like an atomic sub's propulsion system is ~17% efficient yet a whale's fluke is ~38%. Tough to beat mother nature....

I'm sure this guy probably hasn't encountered many see thru glass walls out in Florida's tropical water environs..no worse for the wear tho. They should release him so he can chow more algae..hey, its what they do. I know we could certainly use an army of manatees up here to eat away at our nitrogen loading/algae bloom issues

This is the premise behind bioengineering. Bugs' exoskeletons are a hot topic as im sure are many other capabilities that nature has to offer
