Definitely not my place, but should we try to schedule with the other maine vs. borderland match to have an awesome party lunch or would the course overcrowd? It just seems overly convenient for driving on my opinion.

It would be fun. We have done multiple challenges at the same course before and it works fine.

I agree - we are happy with the date. I think we will have a full squad - will know for sure as it gets closer. Do you know how many you will have?

"i havent played in close to a month" doesnt mean i havent putted or thrown at my basket in that long. remember sneaky pete i got that basket now. instead of freezing my tail off at bland, i can somewhat get cold on my property and still get plenty of practice :rendeer:

Are we planning on doing any Winter rules in case the snowfall is still present when match time arrives? Ribbons, LED's strict 3 minutes or what-not?

Can't wait to play On Sunday!

Here is what our teams have agreed on for rules due to winter conditions:

-Tie matches split the point
-No OB
- 2 meters rule is always in effect at Borderland
-Lost disc strict 3 min. rule. If not found, stroke penalty and mark where last seen by group in it's flight path (no retee or distance)
- ribbons and chalk can be used on disc
- We won't have hole 17 available to play either round due to potential sledders

If possible the group ahead can spot the drives for the group behind them.

We worked HARD on preparing the teepads last weekend so with a little touch-up this week they should be in prime condition. Some fairway paths were also made with snowshoes. Of course with the farm team vs borderland challenge on saturday, the fairways should be broken in pretty well. We planned this well didn't we  Thanks A pool! :thumright:

See you Sunday. We would like to do match-ups 830/845 so we can be playing by 9.

Your Tools on the A team didn't listen to me...

but I would recommend no penalty on discs lost in the snow... it can become quite arbitrary trying to find them, and could create some tension.

I don't see why teams are enforcing the lost disc penalty in the snow, it's really stupid and takes away from the overall meaning of what we are out there to do.

So now the A team captain PM's me about my point of view.

All I know is it helped us avoid tension in the deep snow. Granted we didn't have any blind shots. In the case of a blind pin, I would recommend a re-tee, no penalty.

Why the 9 am start time? We have plenty of daylight, sunset is after 5pm, no more football.. Why not a 10am start?

Park closes at 4:30 right now. Need to respect the park rules, and it's unfair to the park rangers that have to stay late when people are not out of the park.

Dang, they still haven't moved the time out yet? That stinks. When does that usually happen?

I think this has been the least amount of [bleep] talk I've seen going into a tc match. I'm a little scared.

Talk about your match in your thread! I appreciate your trying to offer help, but I think we can manage!

This thread is about the B2Bombers getting ready to host Maine on Sunday the 13th. The rules above are what we are working with unless decided on the day of.

As of now, the snow has a thick crusty top and will stay that way due to the wonderfully cold weather. I don't see many discs getting lost in the snow. Unless all you throw is a tomahawk! :thumleft:

All tee pads are clear and most of them are totally dry. 16 still needs some work but someone is dealing with that before the weekend. :alien:

The trails are nice and packed down, and if you are some 120# pipsqueak, you can walk on the top of the snow! :bounce:

The course is ready for some serious disc golf this weekend! 32 Borderland players ready to defend! 64 people throwing in 2 feet of snow and ice...God I love this sport!!!
