Rt 2 Roadshow Series

I just wanted to give all MA NEFA members a heads-up about the Rt 2 Roadshow Series. It's my small gift as state rep to my people! :) We're starting off small and simple, and it should be a fun extra benefit for NEFA members.

WHAT
A series consisting of four tournaments along Rt 2 in MA starting with Devens King of the Hill (April 16), the Tully Tournament (May 15), Flatrock Blueberry Jam (August 6), and the Bare Bones Barre Open (August 28).

WHO
> MA NEFA members only.
> Due to limited participants in some divisions, there are only three divisions:

- Pro (includes Open, Masters, GM)
- AM1 and AM Master
- AM2 and Women

HOW MUCH
It costs nothing extra to participate. All you have to do is play 3 of the 4 events.

WHAT CAN I WIN
The winner of each division will receive a free 2012 NEFA membership sponsored by the Rt 2 TDs (David Stidham, Sean Franchi, John & Marcy Borelli) and Killer B Disc Golf. Additional prizes may be provided for second and third place if other sponsors step in. The overall goal is to have a little fun, play for the love of the game, and reward you for supporting MA disc golf and NEFA!

SCORING
Standings will be based on a running total of each player's top three "to par" scores. Standing will be on the Rt 2 Roadshow page on killerbdiscgolf.com. Your best 3 "to par" scores will be used. For example, Jim finishes +2 at KOH, -2 at Tully, and +3 at Flatrock. His "to par" score is 3.

Your best 3 scores will be used, but they must all be from the same division. If you move divisions mid-season, you may miss out or you may dominate your new division.

I'm open to suggestions, but keep in mind this is meant to be a fun, uncomplicated add-on to the season. Thanks Dano for giving me the idea and your blessing to try something like it.

I unfortunately dont think I can play enough events for this but I really like the idea.

Good way to represent MA with four quality tournaments. Good work Jobo!

Did all four tournaments sell out last year? I want to say yes, but could be wrong.

So I can win a membership I've already paid for? Or should that say 2012?

I'm still living in the past. Good catch. Thx!

BTW, you can't win anything Jeff unless you move to MA! ;)

Can I get a +1 at Blueberry Jam instead? The other two sound about right.

what about take a buck from the entry fee's which would go toward a prize pool and added to the 2012 membership? Or add a 2nd and 3place.

First event completed. Standings have been posted.

Let me know if I missed any MA residents in the included divisions.

Next event: Tully Tournament on May 15. You need to play in at least three of this events to be eligible for a free 2012 NEFA membership.

Don't forget about the new Rindge course -- 15 Holes are already rough-cut and ready to Rock "N" Roll this May....Just need some clean-up of Limbs on Last Year's fairways from pole-sawing and the effects of NH winter. Maybe a little burnin' as well....Get 'Er Done.....

>> First work day of 2011 = Scheduled for SAT. May 7th ---- 2 more work days should be happening later in May & June.....(Hopefully)..... 8-)

There will be 18 holes pretty much completed by July this year....Of course, this course is in New Hampshire (Only just barely); U might want to consider letting a few eligible NH NEFA'ers jump into the Rte. 2 challenge next time around.

Just a thought...Later, John B.>> :bom: <<

The second stop at Tully has been completed and standings have been updated.

After just one event, Joe Yaskis has a nice cushion in Pro and there's a nice battle developing in AM1 and AM2. It's still too early to tell who will win any of these groups, though, so be sure you play the last two events: Blueberry Jam and Bare Bones.

Let me know if I missed any MA residents in the included divisions.

Next event: Blueberry Jam on August 6. Only two events left!
You need to play in at least three Roadshow Series events to be eligible for a free 2012 NEFA membership.
