"Pearly" Champ Sharks

Post by Eric Kevorkian »

I have 2 champ sharks...one of them definitely has a different type of champ plastic that I can't seem to find anywhere.

Best way to describe it is "pearly".

If you have anything like that....please let me know if you're willing to part with it!

It must be the old pro plastic. I believe it's a mix of pro and champion plastics. I have a old school beast that is made of this plastic.

I've heard a some people comparing the L64 Pain to the Champ Sharks...

just a thought, in case you get tired of replacing OOP.

busted!

But I'm just saying!

Kovo, I by no means consider myself an expert in the timelines of these, but if it's one of those opaque, swirls of blue (let's say yours is blue) mixed with swirls of other blues/whites? I'd say those were done at the tail end of the CE era, like what Hickson was saying. This is what I'm imagining it to be in my head.

If it's mostly champ with some "pearl" in it, I would think it would be just another cool champ disc, and therefore, mostly replaceable in the OOP kind of sense.

This was explained to me when I was at the innova factory in rockhill, sc. Lets say there making sharks in there injection molding machine, they make star plastic and champion in the same machine..so when they go from making star plastic to champion they end up producing a couple hundred blended molds..instead of throwing them out they sell them as champion. In my opinion that particular blend of plastic is the best plastic ever!!!! Why they dont produce it in mass is beyond me..and yes they are aware people love this blend..hopefully the will mass produce it one day

Innova used to sell there pro /
champion mix also..and sell them as champion..they dont sell those any more reason being they dont look like chsmpion plastic at all. I wish they still sold the pro/champ blend..its more grippy than the champ/ star blend
