All the new Innova Discraft baskets are in!!! Our thanks to Justin Anderson for digging holes and installing baskets.
Now we will be upgrading the remaining tees.
Our disc store is being upgraded and will have a new entrance and a wider selection of discs!
Don't miss our buy 2 discs and play for free special!
With the purchase of a chipper, bush piles are going fast and wood chips around baskets are looking nice!
We are also working on new signs.
Blaze

Maybe another 18 holes in for this Fall? stay tuned!

I'll be there next week. I have a timeshare in the area and found this place last year. Loved it...and got an ace on hole #6 the first time playing it. Can't wait to see the improvements/upgrades from last year.

Today I got to introduce my daughter to Disc Golf. Lisa (the owner) was so nice to us. Let us play free for Fathers Day. Thanks. I played the white tees and my 18 year old played the orange tees. It was her first time ever on a course. The handicap system worked perfectly. I had a one shot lead to the 18th and she got a par to my double bogey to beat me. She said she had a great time, and I think she may go back with me again. A new convert. Yes!!!!!!!

557 Beauty Hill rd. Barnstead, NH a I only know this because I played there today for my second time. This course is really being developed nicely and is worth playing anytime if in the area and especially if you are local. Met Blaze today and saw him doing a lot of work while we played. Def check this course out.
Wish I was playing disc golf instead of posting here...

Recent changes to the course:
New signs are in except for 3 holes. Sometime this week maybe.
Cleared out the courner of 18. Should be a slightly easier hole now.
We have benches/seating on 8 holes now.
Disc store has been renovated and stock enlarged. New double doors near the barn!
Many players say the course is looking and playing great.
Our thanks to all the new players coming around!

I'm planning on cruising through the Beauty Hill area this Thursday, Hopefully get there around 6 for a round......Looking for a place to crash that night, is there a campsite available at the course or close by?

Thanks!

It's still looking great following the July tournament. I was helping Blaze build the new teepad for 12 a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if he finished it on his own yet but if he did then there will be at least one more brick teepad than everyone else played on in July.

We would LOVE it if you took the time to write a review after you visit:
http://dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=339

There's always a good reason to goto Beauty Hill and it is completely worth the drive from Mass or where ever you live (and not just because I try to help Lisa and Blaze out anytime I can and finance the disc shop there).

Actually, if anyone is heading up this Sat, I'll be taking most of the disc inventory to Bellamy for an NEDDG event the nice Deaf Club folks asked me to vend at.

We came through the stom mostly unscathed. We did lose the barn transom window.
Recently upgraded tees were put in for blue 10,11,and 12. Just 4 more tees to do to complete all the blue tees!!
I believe I will be moving the blue 9 tee to slightly flatter ground to the left of the existing teepad as you face the basket. The opening will be smaller, but it will allow a lefty shot at the basket.
Oh, the portapotty did a little dance and moved, but did not tip over!

Couple of tee pad suggestions (please excuse if you've already addressed them) in preparation for nefa finals:

Hole 2 long...this really needs a genuine tee pad...current pad is dirt and upslope. For an uphill shot it would be nice to have a reasonably flat pad with good solid substrate

Hole 4 long....toe line is too short imo....lengthen tee pad here on long tee..heard many comments over this.

Everything else is great!

Those are probably the only two complaints that I would have as well. I love that place and will be back there soon.

I don't know how soon Blaze will comment on these but about a week before the July tournament we scouted a new location for the #2 teepad which is on flatter ground closer to the rear stone wall so we won't have to dig the front into the ground and raise the rear of the box which the current location would require. I imagine this is still the plan. The same day he also showed me how #4 is too short so he's aware. I certainly can't speak for him but I imagine #4 will only be extended if the final four teepads are completed a week or two before NEFA finals. I'll make sure to discuss #4 with him soon if he doesn't post here.

New location and upgraded teepad for hole 9 blue. Just dug hole for putting in tee pad #2 blue at same spot as exisiting tee. Hope rain stops someday so I can finish it. Then on to #3 blue, #15 blue and extending #4 blue.
Thanks for the comments on #4 teepad.

My sons and I played Beauty Hill for the first time this afternoon. What a beautiful course! The tee pads are great and the new baskets are fantastic. When my sons weren't throwing their discs they were playing the eye spy game along the course and having a great time. Lisa came out to greet us and give us a quick guide to the course then checked in with us again as we left to make sure we had a great time. It was a great welcome to the course.

This course has a great mix of shots. Uphill, downhill, across the hill, tight woods, wide open fields, lefty, righty, about the only thing missing is significant water to lose your disc in and I'm not going to complain about that! From reading about this course and talking to Blaze last year at a tournament and Lisa today it's clear a lot of work has been put into this course and the results are great. I imagine they'll be putting in the brick tee pad for 15 soon, then I think every hole will have a nice brick tee pad.

The only complaint I'd have would be hole 12. A tight 275' fairway with a 90 degree right turn then another tight 275' fairway to the basket isn't my kind of hole but it certainly tests your controlled drive. When the biggest complaint you can come up with about a course is a single hole then you feel ridiculous even complaining about it. I can't wait to play Beauty Hill again!

All the Blue tees are now bricked! I even lengthened #4.
Tee markers have been repainted.
Course is NEFA Finals ready, just need some last minute mowing and stick pick-up
Then time to work on the new 18 holes we are planning.

For what it is worth, you may want to go to the NEFA finals thread and look at the How to Play Beauty Hill thread.

Actually the good news is the tee pad was lenghtened and thus the hole shortened by 2 ft, so now the hole will be really easy! Just stay out of the bathtub!

This great winter weather has allowed me to begin construction of the new 18 hole short course. Holes will be around 100 ft or so, but narrow fairways and threading through sentinal trees will test your shots. Already I've cut out holes 1,2,3 and 4.
And we just discovered by looking at the tax map that we have another 40 acres that we thought was the neighbors! Already some more expansion thought are in the works!

tax map shows more land then we thought, however I just looked up deed and it does not seem to include this extra land. Look like I could use a surveyor! Any one out there?

Best to get the surveyor ASAP!!

Who knows that you have been paying taxes on someone else property!!

Same issue with HCC (in MA) which having problems with their property lines with their neighbors.

Wow, 40 acres is a BIG difference!! 8-)

So much nice weather has allowed me to continue work on the "short and sweet" course. Looks like all the holes will be around 100 feet, a nice warm-up par 2 course.
I just finished cutting hole 7. Lots of little trees to cut down and then chip.
Hope to place baskets on holes 1-6 and do some work on tee pads this weekend.
We have been especially pleased to see so many (for us) new disc golfers coming by and then coming by again!

We have someone looking into the "found" 40 acres.
