Expanding Rosters
1. Keep it the same. 15 guys and a woman.
2. Add 4 roster spots for reserves. Still have to play 3 matches to qualify for finals.
Please keep in mind numbers for finals, I just don't want it to be a shock to teams that they may have to sit half there team at finals.
I'll be separating A and B pool votes.

Re: Expanding Rosters
Add 4 alternates.
2 questions though:
are there still roster moves like before?
Like keith said, is the woman spot still rotating?

Re: Expanding Rosters
I would say 4 alt spots with rotating girl (girls can only play for 1 team) sub alts as needed. Alts should be listed as alts on roster though they can be used as needed. Your players still needs to play 3 challenges to qualify for finals.

Re: Expanding Rosters
if we add 4 spots could all 20 players play in any givin challenge or would it still be a max of 16 per challenge just curious? i would vote for expansion either way.

Re: Expanding Rosters
Still looking for a little clarification...
Are we thinking you bring 16 to a challenge and the 4 alternates are not eligible unless a player can't play.
~~ Or ~~
a team can bring all 20 and play some for singles and some for dubs to get all qualified.
Not looking for loopholes -- just want to be sure my team and its alternates know what to expect.

Re: Expanding Rosters
Why call them alternates if there not alternates. If I had all 20 players show up for a TC I would play my 16 man roster then have my alternates play a round to determine there pecking order. I thought the purpose of having 4 alternate spots was to increase the chances of having 16 players every time.

Re: Expanding Rosters
i like the 16..with 20 on roster
it leaves room for say example
a long time player has to work afar, gets injured..then he can be on roster w/o having to add a guy then say well he is back so your gone
allows for newer player to get a tast that can't commit..allows teams to have 2 girls so never an issue
allows for some older guy who can only play 1 event to play....allows for a team in playoff hunt to maybe strengthen team down the stretch
all in all just allows for some coaching to actually mean a lil..how ya manage and develop your team and what direction ya go with those spots
trust me all of those situations can/have happened

Re: Expanding Rosters
My question would then be, could you potentially have all 20 on the team qualify for finals? I know there may be limitations on #'s during each round at finals, but could they all potentially qualify?

I believe todd said they still need three for finals..so I would assume so

Re: Expanding Rosters
I don't really know what to think of the alternates, I guess that's something we need to discuss to get some clarification.
If they are just like anyone else on the team, then they aren't really alternates and it's just expanding to 20.
I was under the assumption that the purpose of the alternates was for them to be available to be plugged into a match if a team was having trouble fielding numbers without it being counted as a roster move. Were others thinking differently?

With that thinking, couldn't the 4 alternates compete in the required 3 challenges to make finals?
Week 1: Only able to get 12 of 16 to the match. Call on all 4 alternates.
Week 2: A different set of 4 players can't make it. Call on all 4 alternates.
Week 3: Another, different set of 4 players can't make it. Call on all 4 alternates.

Re: Expanding Rosters
disagree, if all 20 qualify for finals all 20 should be eligible to play one of the 2 rds at finals just my opinion, after all they did put in the required challenges
