Champion Eagle

Post by Jaxon Sheehy »

what's the run-down with these? I got a champion eagle with some funny money- I like how the plastic blend isn't really clear, but besides that I dont play with anyone that throws them. they're more stable than a leopard, but are they longer? I remember seeing that Feldberg carries like 10 different Eagles- but all I ever see him driving with are those green first run discs...

Which eagle did you get? There are two different eagle molds. The L or the X, the L will be kinda understable and the X more on the overstable side. The L has a flat wing like a TL, the X has a notch in it. Eagles are $$ fairway drivers, not the longest thing out there but very easy to control. They are a little faster than your leopard, so if you throw them right they should be a bit longer.

shoot- i don't know. i'll have to check tomorrow night. i can say it was straight out of the borderland bin (whoever sells those discs)- and i don't remember any notches... the first eagle i had (the only one) was a yellow DX plastic and it was so flippy it was just a joke. i'll have to look up the models too- i hate when there are subtle differences like this. a bit like old mold beast and new mold beast. they don't say "old mold" they just ARE.

it's an Eagle L- now I wanna try both but I'll just stick with the L for now. I like the plastic- looks like star, but it's a Champ.

The eagle can fly just as far as a destroyer or any faster disc.

threw it today- it was quite reliable, nice and stable with plenty of power. i definitely love my teebirds, but having lost my non-flippy one, i wanted a fairway driver longer than my leopard.

i throw some distance drivers, the flow, and the bolt... but i'm hoping this thing fills a big ol' hole in my bag! so far so good...

yep it sure can. You just have to throw it correctly, a lot of people don't know how to do that with fairway drivers anymore (they only flip over or wobble because of dirty form....O.A.T.). If you can throw them high enough with nose down you may actually get MORE d than any destroyer can give you, It just won't get there as fast.

Been my goto fairway for years. The X is like a broke in firebird w/o the skip finish the L is kinda like a TB. Easy to throw and predicatable finish.

I hate when i here people saying "I throw a Destroyer,Nuke,Boss for that hole" it's a 300ft hyzer and they want to know what I throw.......mmmmmmmmmmm yep a Eagle.

i threw it this weekend at Bellemy and it was good. Easy to control, but still performed well-

a shot that stuck out to me was a low drive- i threw it hard and it skipped- but really skipped farther than i thought. i just felt good throwing it hard knowing where it was going-
